Kneške Ravne - Vogel (via Vogel a bit differently)

Access to starting point:
From Kneža (to here we come from Podbrdo or Most na Soči) we turn towards Kneške Ravne. When the path branches off to the left in the village, we continue straight a little further to a sharp turn (gate) where we park.

Path description:
We go on the road to the right past the gate. The path brings us to the hunting cottages, where we turn right on a well visible footpath. It brings us to a marked path (mule track), which crosses Spodnje Bohinjske gore. (On the right side where there stands a wooden cottage, we can continue past it on a poorly visible footpath to the ridge Ravenska Ovčja Suha and there to a saddle Suha. Before the path higher in the forest turns right towards the ridge we can turn also left on the old smuggling footpath which brings us to Vrata; note: footpath higher on grass isn't easy to follow).
Immediately when we step on a marked path we turn left through a torrent and after a few steps at first spruce immediately right on a poorly visible footpath. We continue through the forest or. through an indistinct valley, that runs in the direction a little right from Vogel. The footpath rises a little, falls a little, when we come higher to old screes it disappears. But orientation isn't difficult, because we all the time follow the direction of the main gully, which descends right from Vogel. A couple of 100 m higher we clearly see in front of us: on the left main gully, on the right a little smaller rocky gully, in the middle among dwarf pines a third small gully: on this we ascend straight upwards towards the north (demanding pathless terrain, helmet recommended). When the gully in front of us ends with a wall, about 50 m before the wall we turn by dwarf pines to the right, where a nice passage among rocks and grasses brings us to a smaller narrow scree gully. We ascend up it and when the gully starts to split we turn to the right and along an easy grassy ridgelet we come to the ridge, where we step on a marked path towards Vogel.
We continue to Vogel.
Descent:
We descend to the saddle between Vogel and Žabiški Kuk. We continue to Žabiški Kuk. From there we descend to Močila, where we step on a marked mule track, which to the left leads towards the starting point. When we come past the spring on the lowest part of the path, we turn right on an unmarked footpath towards Kneške Ravne (sign on the rock). When we get to the collapsed cottage, we continue downwards through the forest all the time left from a meadow. When we get to a cart track (fairly new skid trail) we follow it first right and then left down to a larger farm. Next to it on the left side on a worse cart track we continue left slightly uphill to the ridge and then slightly downhill. After about 100 m we notice right downwards an abandoned but well visible footpath, which brings us into a gully to a stream. By the stream where the fence ends we turn downwards along the water and after about 100 m on the left we notice our starting point.
