Koča na Pesku - Koča na Klopnem vrhu

Access to starting point:
A) From the highway Ljubljana - Maribor, we take the exit Slovenske Konjice and continue driving towards the mentioned settlement. From Slovenske Konjice we continue towards Zreče, and we follow the road in the direction of Rogla. When we get to Rogla we continue on the main road which for some time continues without large changes in altitude, then turns to the left and gradually starts descending. We follow the mentioned road to the Koča na Pesku, where we park on a parking lot near the hut.
B) First, we drive to Lovrenc na Pohorju (to here from the road Maribor - Dravograd), then we continue driving towards Rogla and Koča na Pesku. The macadam road then first brings us to Mašinžaga and then to the Koča na Pesku. We park on a parking lot at the Koča na Pesku.

Route description:
From the parking lot, we walk to the northwestern side of the hut, from where we head onto the marked path towards Klopni vrh and Zgornja brv. Near the NOB monument the path enters the forest, through which it ascends along a cart track. The path soon flattens, then for a few minutes continues without major changes in altitude. A little further, the marked path turns right and gradually starts descending along a cart track. Lower, we reach a wider macadam road, along which we continue to the junction and marked crossroads at Zgornja brv.
From the junction, we head onto the cart track in the direction of Osankarica and Koča na Klopnem vrhu and begin to ascend. Higher up, we temporarily switch from the cart track to a footpath, then return to the cart track, along and beside which we continue for some time with a few descents and ascents. After a moderate descent we reach a macadam road, from which we go a few dozen meters further slightly left onto a marked path, which after one more minute of walking splits.
We continue slightly left towards Klopni vrh (slightly right Šumik and Osankarica) and continue walking through the forest. Somewhat further, we arrive in swampy terrain, where we carefully follow the blazes and take care not to sink too deep into the mud. Further on, we partly walk along the cart track, on the wetter sections along a parallel footpath. When we reach the macadam road we go right, along which in a few minutes we arrive at the marked crossroads, where a path to Klopni vrh branches left from the road, while we continue along the road, which gradually begins to descend. When a few minutes lower the road turns right, we continue straight onto the cart track, which descends diagonally through the forest. After a few minutes of descent, we reach another road, where we go left and after a few steps arrive at the Koča na Klopnem vrhu, from which some views open up.
