Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana–Koper highway take the Črni Kal exit. From Črni Kal continue driving on the old road towards the sea, but drive along it only to the next somewhat larger crossroads, where turn left towards the Sočerga border crossing. On the mentioned road drive past the settlement Kubed to the village Gračišče, where at the crossroads turn left in the direction of Rakitovec, Movraž and Smokvica. From Gračišče drive approximately another 800 m, then notice the blazes and inscription on the rock for Lačna beside the road, which direct left. Park here in a suitable place by the road. The starting point is located approximately 50 m before the next smaller crossroads.
The starting point can also be reached from the coastal direction, through the settlements Prade, Pobegi, Čežarji, and Sveti Anton.
Path description:
From the starting point head to the marked footpath towards Lačna. The path first crosses a quite overgrown meadow, then joins a wider cart track, along which we continue. At junctions follow the blazes, the cart track higher up turns into a somewhat steeper and in places overgrown mountain path. Higher up views open on the surrounding hills, the path shortly brings us to the Lačna ridge, where we also step onto a wide cart track.
Follow the cart track right (Lačna left 15 minutes), which leads us in some gentle ascents and descents along a quite panoramic ridge. Somewhat further the path takes us past a natural cave, and shortly after we reach the indistinct but panoramic Vrh križa.
From Vrh križa continue on the marked cart track, which passes into a belt of pine woodland ending in a medium-sized clearing. In the middle of the clearing notice a small stone cairn, which directs us slightly right onto an unmarked and in summer also quite overgrown path that further ascends parallel to the cart track we just left. From the clearing cross a short belt of scrub, and the path quickly brings us to the partly rocky summit of Krog, from which, if we step to the ridge edge, a nice view opens towards the west.
