Kompas hotel Ribno - Ribenska gora (on south slope)

Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana–Jesenice highway take the Lesce exit and drive towards Bled, where at the second intersection turn left onto the road that leads towards Ribno. After a good two kilometers of driving, drive through the village along the road all the way to its end at the parking lot at Kompas Hotel Ribno.

Route description:
From the parking lot, go straight and slightly right (south) towards the edge of the cliff on which the hotel stands, where we immediately come upon a trail that leads right into the forest. Here we also come upon the first signpost with the inscription "Ribenska gora". Step onto the path, which takes us to the southern slope of Ribenska gora. After a short, gentle walk we come upon the next signpost, which directs us right uphill onto a somewhat narrower path towards the summit (straight ahead the path that circles Ribenska gora). There follows a few-minute ascent in zigzags along the path through the forest. When it becomes sparser, we come to some rocks and "Jakova klopca", where we can rest. The increasingly panoramic path splits immediately above the mentioned bench. Choose left (right option for descent) and quickly ascend along a somewhat rocky path, exposed in places, to the panoramic summit of Ribenska gora, which the locals also call "cirkel".
