Access to starting point:
From Škofja Loka we drive towards Gorenja vas and further to Hotavlje, where we turn right in the direction of the village Leskovica. The road then soon brings us to Kopačnica, where we notice signs for Ermanovec, which point us to the left over a bridge. Because at the starting point there are no appropriate parking spots, it is better to drive with the car a little uphill along the narrower road, which through the hamlet Kopačnica brings us into the ditch of the stream Podkovščica. We park above the village at an appropriate place by the road.
To the starting point we can also come from the direction of Žiri and Cerkno.
Path description:
Above the village, the road by which we have parked gradually changes into a cart track, which moderately ascends beside the stream Podkovščica. The cart track along which we walk crosses the mentioned stream a few times, then at the partially overgrown edge of the ravine turns sharply to the left, where it also ascends somewhat steeper. The path ahead ascends diagonally for a few minutes, then brings us to a wide indistinct ridge, where it turns right again. Further we follow the blazes, and the path in a moderate ascent through the forest brings us to the nearby forest road, which we follow to the right (at the spot where we step onto the road there are no blazes).
We continue the ascent along the increasingly panoramic road, which with fine views of Blegoš and the surrounding hills brings us to the Erženovše homestead. Above the farm macadam replaces asphalt, and after 3 minutes of further walking we arrive at a marked junction beside which we notice a larger chapel.
From the junction, located in the main ridge of the 1005 m high Štor, we continue left towards Dom na Ermanovcu, which we reach after 5 minutes of further walking.
Behind the hut we notice a mountaineering signpost for Štor, which directs us slightly to the left onto a footpath that steeply ascends through the forest. The path soon levels out and brings us from the forest to a panoramic meadow, where the blazes end. Here we continue right into the dense forest and continue the ascent along a gentle unmarked path, along which after 2 minutes of further walking we arrive at the indistinct, forest-covered summit.
