Košnica - Planinski dom na Brnici

Access to starting point:
From Celje, we drive towards Zidani Most or vice versa. Soon after Celje, the road towards Košnica branches off to the right (from the direction of Zidani Most, a little before Celje to the left). We follow the road, which is mostly ascending, to a smaller saddle, where we park somewhere by the road so that we don't hinder the traffic (on the saddle there is also a smaller crossroad and hiking signposts).

Path description:
From the crossroad, we continue in the direction of Hom, on the road which gently ascends towards the north (correct is the right road, left private). After a few dozen steps, the road brings us to an unmarked crossroad, where we continue left upwards on a macadam road (right road at the house ends). The macadam road then goes into the forest and brings us to a marked junction, where we continue left towards Brnica (right Hom). The path ahead slightly descends and after a few minutes brings us to the next junction, where we continue sharply right. Further, a well-marked path which has quite a few junctions brings us to less vegetated slopes from which a view opens up on part of Posavsko hribovje. The path ahead crosses a strip of forest, after which we step onto the road, which we follow to the left. The road, which is mostly slightly ascending, after approximately 15 minutes of walking brings us to the mountain hut Dom na Brnici.
