Access to starting point:
From the Velenje - Slovenj Gradec road at the settlement Zgornji Dolič, the road branches off to the right towards the village Vitanje (from the Slovenj Gradec side, left). We follow this road to the village Srednji Dolič, where signs for Kozjak direct us to the right uphill. We follow the road, which becomes macadam, to one of the parking lots beside the road.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road beside which we parked. Because the road has some intersections, we stick to the one that is more "main" and mostly ascends. In the last part of the ascent to Sveti Jošt, we can use some shortcuts that cut the road. From Jošt we continue in the direction of the Dom na Paškem Kozjaku on the other side of the mountain. We can go right downwards on a cart track or continue on the road, which also descends. In both cases the path is marked with signs Dom na Kozjaku so we cannot miss it. After a few minutes of descent, the paths join and only a few steps of walking on the road to the hut remain.
