Kraljev hrib - Koritni vrh (Velika planina)

Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Kamnik, then we continue driving in the direction of Kamniška Bistrica and the cableway to Velika planina. In Stahovica we continue left (direction Kamniška Bistrica and Velika planina cableway) and follow the moderately ascending road to a large parking lot near the lower cableway station to Velika planina (the parking lot is located on the right side of the road).

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road in the direction of Planina Dol and Velika planina. After approximately 100 m of walking on the road, just before the first right turn, we will notice on the left side initially a wide path that ascends into the forest (the turn-off is not marked). We continue on the mentioned path, which soon crosses a belt of bushes and immediately thereafter brings us to a junction, where we continue on the right path. Further, we ascend along the path, which after a short ascent brings us to a forest road, which we follow to the left (unmarked).
After a minute or two of walking on the road, we come to a marked junction, where we continue right along the marked hiking path. The path ahead first gently ascends among patches of wild garlic, then starts to ascend more and more steeply. A relatively steep path, which runs through the forest the whole time, brings us higher to a short section that is exposed to falling stones. Further, the path ascends even more steeply, then turns to the left, where the steepness eases. Only a few minutes of easy walking follow, and the path brings us to a forest road, which we follow to the right. The road, which immediately exits the forest onto the western edge of Planina Dol, we follow for approximately 5 minutes to a marked junction, where we continue right - direction Velika planina towards the shepherd huts on the pasture (left Planina Rzenik and Konj), which we reach after a few more steps of easy walking.
From the shepherd huts on the pasture, we ascend past a cross to the edge of the forest, then continue the ascent along the path that ascends through the forest. Higher, the forest becomes sparser and the path brings us, after approximately 30 minutes of ascent from Planina Dol, to Planina Konjščica, from which a view opens towards the nearby Rzenik.
We continue the ascent along a gentle, partly grassy path that barely ascends noticeably towards the south. Further, the relatively gentle path finally exits the forest onto increasingly panoramic grassy slopes. After approximately 20 minutes of walking from Planina Konjščica, at the spot where we will see ahead a somewhat larger sinkhole (sinkhole into which they dump excess building material), we leave the marked path and continue left along a less trodden path that gently ascends along the edge of the dwarf pines. When we step onto the indistinct ridge, we will notice on the left side among the dwarf pines a narrower clearing, along which we ascend to Koritni vrh in a few minutes of easy walking.
In fog, orientation is very difficult.
