Only a few hundred meters before the mentioned mountain pass we notice signs for Kranjski Rak, which point us sharply left onto a narrow and at first also quite steep road. The road flattens higher up and then brings us to the mountain pass Volovljek, where near the inn Kranjski Rak we also park (parking in front of the inn is allowed only for guests).
B) From Gornji Grad we drive towards Kamnik, and then only a few hundred meters after the mountain pass Črnivec we continue right in the direction of Kranjski Rak. Further, we follow the above description.
C) From Savinjska dolina we first drive to Luče, and then we continue driving towards Kamnik. When we reach the mountain pass Volovljek we park at a suitable spot near the inn Kranjski Rak (parking in front of the inn is allowed only for guests).
Path description:
From the mountain pass Volovljek we continue towards the west on a macadam road in the direction of Velika planina, Jarški dom, Črnuški dom, Domžalski dom and Dom na Kisovcu. The road at first leads along the pasture, and then passes into the forest, where a marked footpath branches off to the left. We continue on the mentioned path, which at first ascends somewhat more steeply through the forest, then it joins a cart track, where the path flattens. We walk for a few minutes on the cart track, then on a pleasant forest path, which higher descends to a macadam road. We reach the road right at the crossroads, where to the left the road continues towards Dom na Kisovcu, straight ahead after a few 10 meters we arrive at the large parking lot Rakove ravni (the road continues ahead towards Marjanine njive, parking lot Ušivec, mountain pasture Dol...), and to the right leads the road back towards the mountain pass Volovljek.
We continue the path by crossing the road that leads towards Kisovec and then we walk parallel to the road that leads towards the large parking lot and further towards Marjanine njive. For a short time we walk along the edge of the meadow, and then the path passes into the forest, where gradually the trail becomes more visible and markings also reappear (the part of the path from crossing the road to the forest is poorly marked or not at all). After a few minutes of walking through the forest we arrive at the spot where we cross the electric shepherd, behind it we step onto a dead-end branch of the road that leads to the nearby weekend house or two. When the road ends the path returns into the forest, and it starts to ascend more steeply. Higher we reach the cart track that leads from Marjanine njive towards Gojška planina, and we follow it to the left and walk along it to the watering place for animals on Gojška planina.
We bypass the watering place on the left side, and then we go slightly left (right upper part of Gojška planina) on an ascending footpath. The pleasant and increasingly scenic path ascends across the expansive pasture area, and then crosses one of the macadam roads. On the other side of the road the path gradually ascends moderately, then approaches the road that leads towards Jarški dom and Domžalski dom. Before stepping onto the road we continue left, and after a few 10 steps of further walking we arrive at Jarški dom.
We bypass the mentioned hut on the left side, and then continue the ascent on a wide path that gently ascends through sparse forest. Already after a few minutes a path to Črnuški dom branches off to the left, and we continue straight and follow the wide path all the way to Domžalski dom on Mali planina.
The path then descends into a small valley, where we again step onto a wide path (almost a road). We continue right and follow the path to a poorly marked path junction, where the path towards the shepherd hut Gradiščkovi branches off to the left. We continue straight on the wide cart track in the direction of "chapel and Zeleni Rob". After a few minutes of further walking a path towards the chapel of Marija Snežna branches off to the right, initially downwards, which we have been seeing in front of us for some time. Only a short ascent follows and the path brings us to the mentioned chapel.
