Access to starting point:
We drive to Vrhnika (to here from Ljubljana or Logatec) and at the gas station, we go towards Stara Vrhnika (from the Ljubljana direction right, from Logatec left). Further, we drive on the road past Stara Vrhnika and soon after that, we notice the Zaplana signs on the left. We turn onto this road, which starts ascending and a little higher brings us to a smaller hamlet near the church. We park on a parking lot on the right side of the road at the signs Kuren.
Route description:
The path first leads past the inn Kuren and then past a homestead, after which it slightly descends into the forest and continues following the signs, ultimately leading to Planina nad Vrhniko.
We continue left on the path which then after a few minutes brings us to the forest road. Here we turn left and follow the road all the way to the cottage Zavetišče na Planini nad Vrhniko, which we reach after five minutes of further walking. For a view, we have to ascend the nearby lookout tower.
Description and pictures refer to the condition in November 2007.

Nice path, unfortunately the start of the path is extremely poorly marked. If the first three photos posted here weren't available and I had a poor memory, I would never have found the path. So thanks for the photos. Otherwise, a nice ascent, just right for maintaining fitness.

The described and pictured start of the path leads to the courtyard of a private house. From the parking lot, it is better to head towards the church and follow the asphalt road through the hamlet of Kuren.
