Access to starting point:
We drive to Karlovec / Karlovac and continue towards Velika Kladuša. In the village of Cerovac Vukmanićki, a road branches off to the right towards Ladvenjak. We continue in this direction and after the end of the hamlet Selište, we turn slightly left onto a narrow asphalt road that gently ascends to an intersection, where straight ahead is already a parking lot or we drive a few more meters left to the parking lot by the cemetery, where there is some parking space.
Path description:
From the starting point we head onto the forest logging trail, which initially gently ascends through the forest, then levels out. After about 5 minutes we reach a junction, where we continue straight. The trail is somewhat overgrown here. Soon we are at the fork for the harder and easier path. We continue left in the direction of "harder trail". The path is not technically demanding. First we ascend steeply, then the path traverses left and is poorly trodden. The markers are also rarer. After about 10 minutes of traversing, the path turns right and ascends steeply. After a few short switchbacks and a short overgrown section, the path levels out and soon we emerge from the forest to the chapel of Saint Martin on Martinščak.
Description and photos refer to the condition in October 2025.
