Ledinica - Planinska koča Mrzl'k (via Jarčja Dolina)

Access to starting point:
A) First, we drive to Škofja Loka, and then we continue driving towards Gorenja vas and Žiri. At the beginning of Žiri, we notice signs for Ledinica, which point us to the right on a local road which starts moderately descending. The road then flattens and brings us to the bridge over the river Poljanska Sora. After the bridge, we turn right and park on the arranged parking lot.
B) From the Ljubljana–Koper highway we take the Logatec exit, and then we continue driving in the direction of Rovte and Žiri. We continue driving on a quite winding road which we follow to Žiri, here in the center of the town we notice signs for Ledinica, which point us to the left. Further, we drive through the industrial zone, and then we arrive at the bridge over the river Poljanska Sora. After the bridge, we turn right and park on the arranged parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on a macadam road which continues by the left bank of Poljanska Sora and by which we notice the blazes. We at first walk without changes in altitude, and when we get closer to the hill, where there is the church of St. Ana, signposts for Mrzli vrh and mountain hut Mrzlk point us to the left, through a meadow, and when we reach the forest, the path starts ascending, at the wooden sign it turns right and quickly ascends to the church of St. Ana.
We bypass the church on the left side, and from the nearby junction, we continue on the left path in the direction of Mrzli vrh (right Selo). The path ahead leads us on a narrower macadam road, where we go past individual houses, and at the nearby crossroad, we go right upwards. Next follows a walk on a gradually steeper road, that runs by the fence, behind the last house, the road turns right and through a smaller saddle descends on a cart track.
After a few dozen steps of descent, a marked path branches off to the left to Mrzli vrh, and we still continue on the cart track which gently descends. A little further, we arrive in a smaller valley, and the path starts gently ascending through a meadow. A little higher we step on a macadam road, and on it we ascend to a smaller saddle, from which we continue straight and start descending diagonally towards the right. Lower down, when we reach an asphalt road, we follow it to the left (on some maps it is marked differently), on it past a few houses we ascend to the homestead Svetle, where the asphalt road turns sharply right, and we continue straight on a macadam road which continues through the valley. At the abandoned homestead Lukač, we go right and continue the ascent on a cart track which ascends diagonally from the valley, slowly turning a little towards the left. When we reach the edge of the forest, the path turns left (here a path drawn on some maps joins us from the right) and for some time ascends diagonally by the edge of the hay meadow. Higher, the path temporarily enters the forest and becomes a little steeper, when we leave the forest on a cart track we ascend near the homestead Nožina, where the path turns left. For a short time we continue without changes in altitude, and then blazes point us to the right, where we start steeply ascending through the forest. The forest soon ends, and we follow a beaten footpath which leads us with increasingly beautiful views on surrounding hills. Higher, at the bench we reach an indistinct grassy ridge, where the path turns once again a little right, and when we reach the edge of the forest, we go left and in a minute of additional walking we arrive at the mountain hut Mrzlk.
