Ledinsko Razpotje - Krog (Ledinski grič)

Access to starting point:
A) From Železniki, Kranj or Medvode we drive to Škofja Loka, and from there we continue driving in the direction of Gorenja vas in the Poljanska dolina valley and Žiri. In Žiri or at the end of Žiri (Stare Žiri), we leave the main road towards Rovte and Logatec and continue right in the direction of Idrija. After approximately 6 km of driving from the crossroad in Žiri, we arrive at Ledinsko razpotje, where there is a smaller crossroad and next to it hiking signposts. We park about 50 m ahead in the direction of Idrija, on a slightly larger parking lot by the next crossroad. The parking lot is located right next to several hiking signposts and pension Kmečki hram Fortuna.
B) From Horjul or Polhov Gradec we drive to Šentjošt above Horjul, and from there we continue driving towards Smrečje. When we reach the main road Podlipa - Žiri, we follow it to the right, and we drive along it to Žiri. When in Žiri, we reach the main road Škofja Loka - Logatec, we follow it to the left, and we drive along it past the parish church and Gostilna and pizzeria Lenger. After the inn we arrive at a crossroad, where we leave the main road towards Logatec and continue driving in the direction of Idrija. After approximately 6 km of driving from the crossroad in Žiri, we arrive at Ledinsko razpotje, where there is a smaller crossroad and next to it hiking signposts. We park about 50 m ahead in the direction of Idrija, on a slightly larger parking lot by the next crossroad. The parking lot is located right next to several hiking signposts and pension Kmečki hram Fortuna.
C) From the Ljubljana - Koper highway we take the Vrhnika exit, and when we reach the old Ljubljana - Logatec road, we continue in the direction of Logatec, but only for a short time, since already at the next crossroad we continue right in the direction of Horjul. The road ahead leads us for a short time still through Vrhnika, later through the outskirts of Stara Vrhnika, and then we soon leave the road towards Horjul and continue driving slightly left in the direction of Smrečje. After Smrečje the road starts descending towards Račeva and Žiri. When in Žiri, we reach the main road Škofja Loka - Logatec, we follow it to the left, and we drive along it past the parish church and Gostilna and pizzeria Lenger. After the inn we arrive at a crossroad, where we leave the main road towards Logatec and continue driving in the direction of Idrija. After approximately 6 km of driving from the crossroad in Žiri, we arrive at Ledinsko razpotje, where there is a smaller crossroad and next to it hiking signposts. D) From the Koper - Ljubljana highway we take the Logatec exit, and when we reach the old Logatec - Vrhnika road we follow it to the right (first exit from the roundabout), along which we drive only a short time, since then signs for Rovte and Žiri direct us to the left. After Rovte the road starts descending towards Žiri, and when we reach the mentioned settlement, we soon turn left in the direction of Idrija. After approximately 6 km of driving from the crossroad in Žiri, we arrive at Ledinsko razpotje, where there is a smaller crossroad and next to it hiking signposts. We park about 50 m ahead in the direction of Idrija, on a slightly larger parking lot by the next crossroad. The parking lot is located right next to several hiking signposts and pension Kmečki hram Fortuna.
E) From the Idrija - Spodnja Idrija road, immediately after the end of Idrija we turn right (if coming from the direction of Spodnja Idrija, still before Idrija we turn left) over the bridge across the Idrijca river towards the Eurospin store. On the other side of the bridge we arrive in the settlement Mokraška vas, and we stick to the main road which leads towards Ledinsko razpotje and Žiri. Higher up the road leads us through a few hairpin turns, and then we arrive in the settlement Ledinsko razpotje, where at the first crossroad we turn right and park on a slightly larger parking lot. The parking lot is located right next to several hiking signposts and pension Kmečki hram Fortuna.

Path description:
From the starting point we continue on the main road towards Žiri, and we walk along it for about 50 m, i.e., to the crossroad where the road to Ledine branches off to the left. From the mentioned crossroad we continue left and then immediately right in the direction of the marked path towards Sivka. After the nearby house the road temporarily loses its asphalt surface, and then in a moderate ascent it joins a somewhat wider road, which we follow right in the direction of Sivka (straight to Jazne, left downwards we can return to Ledinsko Razpotje). A short ascent follows, and then the road flattens and leads us through fairly panoramic terrain. Behind the chapel, which is situated between two linden trees, the road descends slightly and brings us to a plateau. A little further, a marked path from Žiri via Vrsnik and Govejka joins us from the right.
We continue in the direction of Sivka on a gentle road, which gradually brings us to the village Ledine, where on the right we notice Jurečeva šupa (museum collection), and on the left attached to the bus shelter is a stamp box, in which there is a stamp and registration book.
The path ahead leads us through the village, after the sign end of settlement Ledine we continue right, where the blazes also direct us. The path then quickly ascends above the village, from where there is a nice view of part of the plateau, and on the left by the path we notice a smaller park or NOB monument.
The asphalt road then moderately ascends through initially still quite panoramic slopes, from which a beautiful view opens up reaching all the way to Trnovski gozd. Higher the road enters the forest, where it leads us past a smaller landmark, which we notice slightly to the right of the path. Crossing a meadow follows, and then we ascend through the forest for a few more minutes. The main road brings us out of the forest higher up, where in a few steps we arrive at the marked junction by the chapel.
From the mentioned junction we continue right in the direction of Ermanovec (left to the summit of Sivka 10 minutes) and on the asphalt road we begin to descend moderately. When the descent ends, at the first crossroad immediately after the farm building we continue right in the direction of Ledinica, Breznica and Žiri. We continue for a short time on the increasingly panoramic road, and then at the right bend we notice signs for Mrzli vrh and the information board for the Path along the Rapallo Border.
Here a path to Mrzli vrh branches off slightly to the right, and we continue on the road, which descends to a smaller saddle amid beautiful views.
Here the asphalt road descends right downwards, and we continue slightly left to the hiking signpost a few steps away, where the path splits again. Slightly left the marked path towards Ledinica continues, and we continue on the unmarked path, which follows an indistinct ridge. The path ahead leads us past the cottage Na Krog, behind which we quickly ascend to the summit of Krog.
