Log - Ledinekov kogel

Access to starting point:
From the road Maribor - Ruše, in the settlement Bistrica ob Dravi we turn left (from the direction Ruše right) towards Log. Further, we drive through Log, and at the end of the settlement, at the crossroad of multiple roads, we park at an appropriate place by the bus stop.
We park in a way that does not hinder the traffic and the bus.

Route description:
From the starting point, we head onto the slightly right road, along which there are trail blazes (left road towards Pečke, right part of the settlement Log). We ascend along the road for a short time, and then before a few houses we continue left into the forest, where we first steeply ascend. Next follows a walk along a smaller ridge, then we step onto the road, along which we continue for some 10 steps, then we go left into the forest, where the path continues. A little further, we once again cross the road, and then we begin to ascend ever more steeply along a gradually increasingly steep forested ridge. Higher, the path becomes very steep and on a few minutes long section, mainly when wet, it is also dangerous for slipping. Above the steepest part, the path gradually flattens and a little further brings us to a meadow, along the edge of which we continue. There follow a few minutes of moderate ascent and we arrive at the mountain hut Dom na Pečkah.
From the mountain hut Dom na Pečkah through a shorter panoramic section we ascend to the edge of the forest, where the path splits. We continue on the slightly left path in the direction of Mariborska koča and the lookout tower (slightly right path leads towards Ruška koča na Arehu), which passes into the forest. Through the forest, we ascend moderately to occasionally steeply, and during the ascent we cross a few forest roads. Higher, we also cross a few connecting ski slopes, and at all junctions we follow the signs for Mariborska koča (meanwhile twice a path towards the lookout tower branches off).
Higher, we reach the ridge and a macadam road and the junction of multiple paths or roads.
We continue on the leftmost road in the direction of the lookout tower and hotel Bellevue (slightly left road leads towards the fenced area with the radar tower, straight Mariborska koča, right a marked path towards Ruška koča na Arehu), along which we ascend gently to moderately, along it continuing to the highest point, where there is an indistinct summit which we recognize by the radar transmitter.
