Log pod Mangartom - Parabola waterfall

Access to starting point:
From Bovec, we drive towards the border crossing Predel, but only to the village Log pod Mangartom. Here, in the center of the village, we will notice a sign for the waterfall Parabola, which directs us right onto a narrow street slightly downhill. We follow this road to the parking lot at the river Koritnica.
We can also reach here via the road which comes from the bridge over the river Koritnica.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we walk to the river Koritnica, which we cross carefully (if the water is high we will probably have to take off our shoes). When we cross the river, we will on the other side notice an abandoned cottage, by which we notice signs "Fratarica". We head onto this path, which quickly brings us to a relatively steep cart track, which we follow to the first junction. We continue on the right side, where the cart track quickly turns into a steep mountain path, which climbs alongside the stream upwards. An occasionally slightly exposed footpath quickly brings us to a nice vantage point from which a nice view of the waterfall opens up.
The majority of hikers end the tour here, but we can extend it to a smaller lake below the waterfall. To get there we first have to descend along a narrow and exposed path, which after a short descent brings us to the bed of the stream. From there only a short ascent to the foot of the waterfall follows.
The path from the vantage point to the foot of the waterfall is suitable only for experienced mountaineers (great risk of slipping).
