Lonice / Passo del Cason di Lanza / Lanzenpass - Zermula (via ferrata)

Access to starting point:
We drive to the settlement Pontebba (Italy). To here e.g.. from Kranjska Gora and Trbiž / Tarvisio.
In Pontebba we look for turn-off for Lonice / Passo del Cason di Lanza. The turn-off or crossroad is located immediately after the turn-off for Mokrine (Nassfeld or Passo Pramolo) past which we drive in the direction of west (if we come from Slovenia).
Next follows a 16 km long asphalted, narrow and in parts very steep road. Driving to the destination on this road lasts approximately 25 minutes.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue few steps on a macadam road, until signposts point us to the right past bigger metal cross. The path then continues through a thin larch forest. We soon come out of the forest to scree, on the top of which starts secured path. To climbing part of the path is approximately one hour of walking.
The path immediately by the steel cable steeply ascends. The beginning of the climbing part is one harder details on a secured climbing path, which further gains approximately 300 meters of height difference.
Difficulty in following sections doesn't decrease much relating to initial part of the path. Sources mention difficulty from B/C to C.
The secured path ends on a ridge, from where a nice view opens up towards the south and west and on town Paularo. Further, the path is easy and soon reaches peak.
