Access to starting point:
Across the border crossing Petrina we drive to Delnice, where in the western part of the mentioned settlement we notice signs for the hunting lodge on the right. Here we turn right and drive on an ascending road to the hunting lodge (lovački dom), where we park.
Route description:
From the parking lot at the hunting lodge, we continue on the road in the direction of Japlenški vrh, which after a few steps brings us to a crossroads of two roads. We continue on the lower right road, which goes straight and after 10 minutes of walking brings us to a trail junction. Here, mountain signposts direct us to the left upward, onto a footpath that gently ascends through the forest. Just a few minutes below the summit, we reach the next junction, where we continue to the right. Only a few minutes of gentle ascent through the forest follow to reach Japlenški vrh.
