Lovrenc na Dravskem polju - Ptujska Gora

Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana - Maribor highway, take the Slovenska Bistrica - north exit, then follow the signs for Ptuj. Leave the road towards Ptuj at the signs for Cirkovce, and from Cirkovce follow the road towards Lovrenc na Dravskem polju. In Župečja vas, which is situated before Lovrenc na Dravskem polju, go left, and then we already arrive at Lovrenc na Pohorju, where there are several parking options. We can park at the cemetery, sports field or somewhere else in the center of the settlement. The path described further starts at the chapel of St. Vera, to which it is a few minutes' walk.
B) Leave the Podravje highway at the Hajdina exit, then follow the signs for Slovenska Bistrica and Hajdina. Quickly leave the road towards Slovenska Bistrica and turn left towards Kidričevo. Continue driving through Kidričevo, and when we arrive at Apače, go right from the roundabout towards Lovrenc na Dravskem polju, where there are several parking options. We can park at the cemetery, sports field or somewhere else in the center of the settlement. The path described further starts at the chapel of St. Vera, to which it is a few minutes' walk.
C) Drive to Ptuj, then follow the signs for Lovrenc na Dravskem polju and Ptujska Gora. When we arrive at Lovrenc na Dravskem polju, park at one of the parking areas in the settlement. Possibly at the sports field, cemetery or somewhere else in the settlement. The path described further starts at the chapel of St. Vera, to which it is a few minutes' walk.

Path description:
From the cemetery or from the sports field we go to the parish church of St. Lovrenc, a little behind it we go right and along the edge of the road continue to the triangular crossroads, in the middle of which is the chapel of St. Vera.
At the chapel, the first yellow blazes of the Camino de Santiago appear, we continue right and continue walking south. A little further ahead, we go right from the wider road, where the signs of the Camino de Santiago also direct us, then at the next two crossroads we continue straight or slightly left.
The path ahead leads us between fields, before the bridge over the Polskava another path joins from the right, if we were to start walking from the sports field and continue south from the starting point. A little further, we cross another small watercourse, when a few minutes later we approach the forest we go right after the cross and gradually begin to ascend gently. The path ahead leads past a joinery, we continue ascending gently for a few more minutes, after the smaller crossroads where we continue on the slightly left road, the path becomes steeper. Higher up, some views open up temporarily, then at the shrine we reach a small saddle, where we go right. The path ahead leads past some houses, then the road enters the forest, where it splits at the left bend.
The signs of the Camino de Santiago direct right into the forest, and signs of the Camino de Santiago are also present if we continue along the road.
If we continue along the road, at two crossroads we continue straight, then we already arrive at the chapel of St. Rok, where the path also joins if we continue through the forest.
From the crossroads behind the chapel we go right (sharply right leads the road towards the hamlet Selce), where we quickly arrive at the cemetery and the church of St. Lenart. Behind the cemetery we reach the parking lot, behind it at the smaller crossroads we go left. A few dozen more steps of walking follow, and at the shrine we leave the road and ascend the stairs to the basilica on Ptujska Gora, from where a beautiful view opens up.
