Access to starting point:
a) First we drive to Kranjska Gora, then we continue driving across the Rateče border crossing into Italy. We drive towards Trbiž / Tarvisio, then at the beginning of the mentioned town we turn left in the direction of Bovec. We continue driving along the regional road towards the Predel border crossing, but just a little after the mentioned border crossing (that is, when we are already on the Slovenian side) we turn left in the direction of Mangartsko sedlo. We continue driving along the occasionally narrow and serpentine road (the road also has some tunnels), and we drive along it to Mangartsko sedlo, where we park at the parking lot at 2050 meters above sea level. The road is a toll road.
b) First we drive to Bovec, then we continue driving towards the Predel border crossing. Just a few 100 m before the mentioned border crossing, more precisely after the larger arch bridge, we turn right in the direction of Mangartsko sedlo. We continue driving along the occasionally narrow and serpentine road (the road also has some tunnels), and we drive along it to Mangartsko sedlo, where we park at the parking lot at 2050 meters above sea level. The road is a toll road.
Route description:
From the parking lot we first walk to Mangartsko sedlo, from where we continue right towards the east and continue the path along the scenic grassy ridge. After a few minutes of easy walking the path becomes somewhat steeper and bypasses the nearby Travnik (2200 m) on the right southern side. From here on the path becomes even steeper, and after about 30 minutes of walking from the starting point it brings us to a junction, where the path splits into two parts; left the Italian and right the Slovenian path.
We continue in the direction of the Italian path, which quickly crosses to the Italian side of Mangart, where it initially ascends moderately. Already after a few minutes the path becomes steeper and brings us to smooth rock slabs, where we are helped by protections, mainly steel cables. Higher up the path turns somewhat more to the left and crosses steep scree slopes below the walls of Mangart (on this part in early summer we can still encounter snowfields). Further on the path begins to turn to the right and brings us to a junction on the eastern side of the mountain. Here we again step onto the Slovenian side and continue right in the direction of Mangart (the left path leads along the ridge and continues towards Jalovec, Vevnica and Tamar). The path ahead continues to turn to the right, so that we almost circle the summit. Higher up we cross another gully, then we begin to ascend on a fairly steep slope exposed to falling rocks. From here only a few minutes of ascent follow and the increasingly scenic path brings us to the summit of Mangart.
Mangartsko sedlo - turnoff to Bivak Nogara 0:15, turnoff to Bivak Nogara - path junction 0:15, path junction - joining the ferrata 0:20, joining the ferrata - junction on the ridge 0:45, junction on the ridge - Mangart 0:25.

Along the route: Odcep k Bivaku Nogara (2146m), Razcep poti (2228m), Priključitev ferate (2330m), Razpotje na grebenu (2528m)

the cables are fine, just could use a few more - if the ground is frozen

You have to be careful not to miss somewhere in the middle of the path - you can quickly find yourself on the edge of a precipice above the Belopeška jezera lakes. Markings are a bit more sparsely placed there.

how crowded is it on weekends, Friday or Saturday-Sunday

We were up there on Saturday; because we were early, there was no crowd. When we were coming back, there was a column like on the highway.

When did you start from Mangartsko sedlo, so I know when to start from lower Posavje - Krško

On Mangart it's nice (if you want to avoid crowds) to go at the end of August or beginning of September. Then there are just the right number of people up there so you know you haven't missed the mountain. Holidays are holidays and in the Julian Alps you can't avoid crowds.

On Mangart it's nice and there's a lot of space at the top. You have to be a bit careful on the scree. The cables are good, but torn in some places. At the top there's a cross and bare rocks. I'm very happy to have reached the top because it was my highest ascent so far.

I was surprised by the depths, but in the mountains it's obviously like that. This was also my most difficult path so far. The cables really need fixing, but the path there, given the rocky base, is almost safer than later towards the summit. I can't believe that a family with 5 and 7-year-old boys decided on such a trip, but they made it!

14 days ago I went with my son to Mangart via the Italian route. The path seemed fine to me, but considering that they were renovating the Slovenian route, they could also fix the cables on the Italian side, which are torn. The path doesn't seem demanding to me, as we did it with my son (6 years) in 2 hours without any problems. Best regards, Andrej

I was on Mangart three weeks ago (on Sunday). I descended from the summit via the Italian route. I was very surprised by the attitude towards the mountain of some visitors who were climbing at that time. There were several wearing ordinary low sneakers and without other necessary mountaineering equipment. Some seemed not to know at all where they were "climbing". My humble opinion: although the summit is quite easily accessible, appropriate equipment (mountaineering boots, windbreaker, food and drink,...) and caution are necessary. Every real mountaineer also "studies" the route beforehand! Nice mountain greetings!

Andrej, be careful. I think for a 6-year-old Mangart is quite something. And don't start racing around the mountains with such a small child. If you're lucky, you'll just "ruin" them for him. If you're lucky, you understand. Enjoy nicely, there is so much beautiful along the way that you miss a lot if you rush and drag the child behind you. Good luck.

MT - Path nice, cables renewed, path towards the scree at the top of the rocks airy in places; just before the key to the summit, if not paying attention to the signs, we continue straight to the precipitous scree. Helmet recommended on certain sections and of course shoes with good grip. (15.9.2007)

THIS IS NOT THE "VIA ITALIANA" ! THIS IS THE NORMAL PATH!!!
| Gost25. 10. 2007 |
Of course it is NORMAL ITALIAN path, then there is a normal SLOVENIAN path, and beside them there is FERRATA (Italiana). So, what is wrong and where is the problem?

I'm wondering if I can take a dog to Mangart? And which path would be more suitable for that. Best regards
| Klin4. 08. 2008 |
Definitely the Italian path is more suitable, but be careful. In the upper part the dog can easily trigger rocks, which consequently endanger the safety of hikers.

my wife is afraid of pegs and steel cables how much of that is there on the Italian route

She can be afraid of those exposed places where there are no such protections.

| majdicst24. 08. 2008 |
As far as I remember from two years ago, on the Italian route there is only at one place (maybe two - I really don't remember exactly) a few meters of "cable". In any case, this route is much easier than the Slovenian one.
| triglavski24. 08. 2008 |
There are only a few more fixed cables than described, but above all there is now fresh snow there, which is frozen on the north side.

Has anyone gone from Mangartsko sedlo to Jalovec?

A few years ago I already walked it, long.
| Jacek26. 06. 2009 |
How much time would it take from the saddle to the shelter below Špička?
| viharnik26. 06. 2009 |
About 9-10 hours of walking with ascent to Jalovec. What does Triglavski know anyway.
| triglavski27. 06. 2009 |
I would largely agree with viharnik time-wise. Of course, the entire trail is quite demanding. You need to cross steep grass to Huda škrbina, then a demanding descent down to bivak Tarvisio via Mali Koritniški Mangart, or of course via the southern path deep down to the end of V Koncu, followed by ascent to Kotovo sedlo, Jalovec summit, and descent to Špička. From the end in Koncu, it's possible even lower to the end of Loška Koritnica, followed by ascent to sedlo Brežice and via Škrbina za Gradom to Špička. Time-wise, this variant would even be shorter. But overall, it's somewhat disconnected, so it's better to do individual sections, as the elevation loss is so obvious, almost like going back up from the valley. But for someone who might even like it, it's definitely magnificent and quite solitary. Currently, there's still plenty of snow on individual trail sections. The trail isn't in the best condition everywhere.

Next week I'm heading to Mangart! Does anyone have any info on the current conditions? Is there still a lot of snow?
| triglavski24. 07. 2009 |
I just received info that there is still some snow on the Italian path on the flat section when crossing under the wall, but it poses no problems when crossing.
| zmp225. 07. 2009 |
I was up there 14 days ago and there is still a little snow on the Italian route, but it poses no problem. On the Slovenian side, however, the rock is quite wet and consequently slippery, so be careful.
| silbisa27. 07. 2009 |
According to plan, did the trip to Mangart on 26.7.2009. Up and down via the Italian route. Conditions excellent. Snow under the wall at the crossing really just a sample so it really doesn't pose a big problem (practically can be avoided on dry ground). After talking to hikers who came up via the Slovenian route, conditions there are also good. Views truly unforgettable.

Nice greeting.. today I was on Storžič, which was my first "climbing" experience and it went okay for me, so now I have Mangart planned but I'm still a bit afraid if I'll manage, because there's just a bit more climbing and steepness, so I'm interested in your advice
| rerze117. 08. 2009 |
Mangart is harder compared to Storžič, which especially applies to the climbing Slovenian route, considered very demanding. The path is airy in places and veryyyy crumbly, but the fixed protection is in good condition. The Italian route is easier and a bit longer, but still requires considerable concentration. Helmet use is mandatory, for the Slovenian route a via ferrata set is recommended. Nice greeting and good luck on the way.
| proplayer1118. 08. 2009 |
I'm just interested which part of the path is the most exposed, dangerous, where extra caution is especially needed.
| proplayer1118. 08. 2009 |
and how difficult is this path compared to the path to Razor from Zadnjica, and to Špik.
| rerze119. 08. 2009 |
The Italian route is not overly exposed or dangerous. Caution is needed along the entire path, especially in the upper part where the path runs over scree. There are spots where there's a risk of slipping, so we watch that we don't dislodge stones. The climbing Slovenian route "shows its teeth" right from the start and then there are a few more exposed spots with a bold view into the depths. The central part of the route requires the greatest caution due to its fragility. Watch out for falling rocks! We watch that we don't dislodge rocks, because there are people below us, unfortunately some without helmets on their heads I can't make comparisons with Razor and Špik because I haven't been there yet. Best regards.

Two years ago my son and I climbed the mentioned route and apart from a few torn cables there were no problems (they have been renewed according to reports). In my opinion, the mentioned route is considerably easier than the ones you're asking about, especially if you start the ascent at the saddle. LP Andrej

Today I was on Mangart via the Italian route up and down. I can say that the route was very slippery in the upper part, otherwise it's well secured with cables throughout. Helmet definitely needed, and there are also those "clods" who go to the mountain extremely irresponsibly.

Yesterday my friend and I were on Mangart. Up via the Slovenian route, down via the Italian. The Slovenian route is a nice climbing path, locally friable and exposed, but nothing special. I recommend a helmet and climbing gloves because there are many cables. If you don't have strong hands or get dizzy, I recommend using a via ferrata set. Razor and Špik are, in my opinion, easier ascents compared to the Slovenian route on Mangart. I've been to all the mentioned summits several times. The Slovenian route could be compared to the climbing path to Mala Mojstrovka. The Italian route on Mangart is more touristic and there's no special danger, except for a small friable section just below the summit, where it's not particularly steep either. If you're driving to Mangart saddle, I recommend starting early enough, as they start collecting parking fees from below at 6am. If you pass by before, you don't have to pay it. Just courage, happy trails and good luck! Rok

Yesterday I visited Mangart with my wife, daughter (11 years), father-in-law and mother-in-law. I must say it's worth every drop of sweat because the view from the top is so beautiful that I even joked that you can see to Switzerland. The only remark I have again is the quality of the stamp at the top , which is quite poor and also extremely clumsily installed. As for the access itself, I'd say the path is nicely secured, but constant caution is needed as there are some exposed sections. Regarding the helmet, 80% of people were without, but my personal opinion is that it's quite necessary for Mangart. Because you walk more or less between or under rocks and open parts, a stone can quickly fly down the slope. (Especially the last ascent just below the summit, you need to watch if someone is descending and better wait below or to the side). Anyway, it's a trip I recommend to everyone .

How much time do I need by car from Bovec up to the saddle?
| jany198012. 05. 2011 |
According to my experience, from Bovec to the saddle it's about 20-25km. Don't forget, you're driving on a very narrow road with over 20% gradient which prolongs it a bit. lp

| turbo12. 05. 2011 |
About 40 minutes from Bc to the saddle. Approximately 15 min to Log pod Mangartom, plus approx. 10 min to the junction from the main road, the rest mountain road. By the way, if the barrier was open it would be an opening and not a barrier

Hello! What are the conditions on Mangart (snow...), on the Italian trail. Is it doable or not. Is it easier than to Jalovec via Kotovo sedlo or via Sput over Jalovška škrbina?
| lubnikar6. 07. 2011 |
it's easier, but deadly for snow slips, you fly almost to the Belopeški
| MANGRT6. 07. 2011 |
check FORUM-RAZMERE for fresh snow condition info (3.7.2011). the Italian trail is easier because it ascends gradually and levels the climbing sections.

I have already been to Mangart. 1995, nothing since. I have hiked quite a few peaks over 2000m. Cmir, Škrlatica, Špik, Razor, Vrbanova špica, Turska gora, Grintovec, Skuta......all until around 1997. Then with the kids we went to lower, more rounded and forested peaks. This year intensively 2x a month we go to the mountains and prepare for Triglav. We are increasing the difficulty of peak accesses. I'm interested in what you suggest for Mangart. I have no "terrible" memory, but at 22 nothing seemed difficult to me. Today I have two children and a husband who, except for this year's ascents, has no 2000ers behind him.

Hello! This year I ascended Mangart via the above-described path. Please, more experienced hikers than me, tell me which path in our mountains would be approximately as demanding as this one. I have problems with vertigo and on every path I'm always afraid that I'll reach a point where a problem would arise. I always avoid paths marked in guidebooks as unsuitable for those with vertigo. If the path is steep, long, or requires a large elevation gain, that doesn't bother me. The problem for me is only the exposure of the path. I would add that I went along this path with ease. And please: I don't need any mockery, foolishness, silly statements, etc. ...but only useful advice. Thanks in advance to everyone who will reply!!!

Judging by recent experiences, I would highlight the last part of the ascent to Svinjak, where there is no wire rope or protection , but you walk practically along the edge. Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but it really worried me that I might slip somewhere and fly down.

We were also up there yesterday, the road is officially closed a few 100m lower, but they also drive to the top of the pass because the landslide is cleared. We parked according to regulations lower down, so the tour was extended by about 20 min, which isn't that much. Good luck

Let me add that at the last parking there is a notice about the landslide, but since there is no physical barrier, many drive to the top, I went on foot on Saturday. From the last parking to the pass is half an hour, which is a few minutes more than from the hut. Good luck!

Yesterday with two friends I climbed to the top of Mangart for the first time via Via Ialiani. I'm not a beginner and I have quite a few ferratas behind me, on the other hand I'm not someone who fears nothing in the mountains and jumps on rocks like a chamois. For the mentioned path I can say it's one of my most beautiful, safest for stepping, at the same time also nicely and abundantly secured with a large abundance of newly attached steel cables. I will definitely go this path again sometime. But I can't imagine how it must be at the peak of the season, well, the fantastic day certainly did its part, as around noon, when we were already descending, crowds of all sorts of "hikers" were literally rolling onto Mangart.

Hi. I'm wondering if the Italian route is passable for a small dog. We've already been to many mountains, and it has no trouble climbing rocks, but our next challenge would be a trip to M.

21.07.2016, my wife and I climbed to Mangart, wonderful, maybe easier than I expected, but disappointed with parents, especially foreigners, who irresponsibly take their children on the ascent without proper equipment.

I recommend visiting during the week, as weekends in summer months have abnormal crowds up here and you'll feel like on a highway. Yesterday I was up again with my 7-year-old and some other parents with similarly aged children. It's not too demanding for the little ones, but it's good to keep them on a rope and with a helmet, definitely.

Was there yesterday. You can drive to the hut, I went further, but there's a warning sign. At one bend of the road there is fallen rock and probably more will fall sometime... I quickly passed there . Otherwise most people go past no. And the weather was perfect, just the right amount of people, views that take your breath away, in short I fell in love, ha!

Hello
I have some questions... My wife and I would like to go along the Italian path on Thursday, November 1st... I'm wondering if the path is precipitous anywhere? We're quite fit, Ojstrica didn't give us any trouble... It's true, this will be our first time in the Julians... Any advice for the path?
Thanks

Hi, what's the situation on Italian route to Mangart, still lots of snow?

Some snow here and there, but doable without winter gear, snow soft, crossings at about 3-4 spots.

We used the bridge days between the Assumption holiday and the weekend this year for a mountain trip. Hoping there wouldn't be too much crowd in the mountains on that day, we headed to Mangart via the Italian and Slovenian via ferrata. Already when we arrived at the circular road under Mangart, the hope for less crowd quickly faded as there were above-average number of cars and other vehicles parked along the circular road, mostly with Czech and Slovak license plates. Since we were still quite early, we quickly found a suitable parking spot. Although the spot was near a large puddle, it didn't bother the Czech driver who parked his vehicle so close to mine that I practically couldn't enter from my side anymore. Since I noticed small children in their vehicle, I jumped back into my car and moved it to the extreme side, otherwise I wouldn't avoid new damage to the doors. We equipped ourselves with climbing gear and descended from the pass to Bivak Nogara, which stands under the north face of Mangart, from where the path leads to the start of Via Italiana ferrata. In the idyllic mountain setting, the sight of a column of about 30 climbers moving very slowly up the ferrata shocked us with a view of the magnificent ferrata route. The fact that the one-hour climbing time would be impossible to achieve was later confirmed. From their loud communication, we quickly realized they were all Czechs or Slovaks, I can't distinguish them as I haven't dealt with them yet. They presented themselves as an extremely uncultured and inconsiderate people who have no respect or consideration for other mountain visitors. Their lack of culture was evident at every step. Endless photographing along the entire ferrata route caused us painful waiting and hanging on the cable, some even had meals in the middle of the ferrata. Later in the Slovenian direction, we also met whole families with children too small for that route, who didn't care for faster followers so we had to fight for space to overtake ourselves, the same applies to descent. All stories about their unculture in the mountains proved to be very true on the entire path. Unfortunately, in the list of their unculture, poor hygiene and disregard for the cleanliness of the mountains leads. At the summit we met a group of four hikers from Parma in Italy, who started picking up their trash from the Mangart summit and even their discarded clothes (on the terrapak and one discarded T-shirt there was writing in their language). One of the women put the waste in a bag and took it to the valley. In the conversation, disgust was also felt from them. To top it off, upon arriving at the car, a meter away we spotted a fresh, large human excrement. Fortunately, at least the inconsiderate Czech driver's vehicle was gone, and luckily no new damage to my vehicle. Since there is also a hut at the pass, we of course treated ourselves to a well-deserved 'mountain' beer. However, even in this case, the observation holds that neither in the hut itself nor in the surroundings was there a single 'Czech-Slovak' visitor, as they bring most food and probably other supplies from home, which they of course deposit in all forms in our mountains. In the end, I would like to write some pleasant comment about the wonderful day, but the inconsiderate 'eastern' visitors soured the day so much that I practically have no positive feeling about the day that I should remember for the nice, not the ugly experiences.

Time to start visiting other, quieter and less visited mountains On Mangart, like on Triglav, it's best to go during the working week or out of season (September, October before snow).

Usually I met them only on marked paths, this time I encountered them for the first time also in the ferrata. Otherwise, unfortunately, there are more and more of them every year on all our mountains, they've even reached the Dolomites. Colleagues told me they have to pay for a guide at home for every more demanding summit and therefore feel free and carefree in the Alps. I find it incomprehensible that Alpine mountain awareness and culture are so foreign to them and they just ignore it. I've met the most diverse nationalities in the mountains, but such lack of culture I've never seen in anyone even remotely. Sad that we are so close yet so different.

I was up there today. Although off-trail areas are closer to my heart, it was really nice. I didn't notice any of the above, even though there were tons of foreigners. But most parked up top where driving is not allowed at all. On the aforementioned circular road!

Yes, to conquer our summits we'll really have to wait for autumn, although autumn is the ideal time for hikes also on the Austrian and Italian side.

Hello. On Saturday, 21.9., my wife and I climbed the Italian path. The path is excellent, weather perfect, but I'm even happier that we started already at 5:30 a.m. from the saddle. After 9 hours when we were descending, there was literally a column of people on the path towards the summit, where you can lose your nerves with what all people are doing. As they say: early hour, golden hour

On Wednesday 23.10.2019 several of us had orientation problems in the last part of the ascent. Together we concluded that the markings need to be renewed. In fog it can be quite dangerous.

I didn't find it that bad. In the upper part you can clearly see where the path goes, it's true that in fog it could be a problem. The bigger issue seemed to me the slack cables in the secured section.

There's a barrier a bit lower due to a landslide, so you can drive a bit higher than the junction for the hut.

If you don't have that info, I can provide it, as I was on Mangart yesterday via this path. No snow anymore (just a month ago that part of the path was partially snowy on the north side and also dangerous for slipping)....this time everything went perfectly. Nice hiking greetings

Here, now I can tell from first hand, I was there on Sunday, there's only one snow patch, easy to cross, but need to be careful right after it, because the rocks are very smooth and with wet shoes you slip easily there, but it's not exposed. Beautiful path (we went up the Slovenian, down the Italian), in my opinion one of the most beautiful so far, and I've been hiking for over a decade...

Top-notch path! Arrived at 6.30 (ramp was free) at the top in two hours. Marked time is a bit longer due to landslide. Really nice path, cables as needed, no via ferrata kit required, helmet definitely because of crumbling rocks. Recommended!

Went today on the Italian path, I thought the note about crampons obligation was bullshit. People please crampons up, I don't care if it's summer, there's snow up there and right above the precipice. Crossing the path trampled in the snow is necessary. One single slip is enough to end even the most experienced mountaineer's career forever

Since we were interested and there was no published answer to the already asked question whether with a dog to Mangart or not, we tested it ourselves. We decided on the Italian direction. The ascent is demanding, secured on dangerous sections with wire rope (via ferrata), which has already loosened in exposed places. If you have a dog that you can carry in a backpack, no problems. In the case where you have to keep the dog on a leash, the safety factor changes greatly. The sections secured with wire rope are long, narrow passages and high rocks that require climbing. Very dangerous situations for the dog and its handler. If the dog jumps onto a rock higher than a human step (almost all are like that), it pulls the handler with it, who cannot follow in speed and skill, it's very dangerous for the handler as they hit the rock or for the dog which the handler stops mid-jump and it falls back. First, in the first meters of ascent we tried keeping the dog leashed around the handler's waist (so hands are free and three-point grip possible), but it was too dangerous. Conditions allowed it (we were early and very few people), so we unleashed the pup. We have a border collie, very attached to the handler and never strayed more than 50m from us. He was always faster than us but waited every time. Our dog is obedient, responds to commands and doesn't bother other hikers, we have very good handler-dog contact. Otherwise, I advise against visiting the mountain with a dog, it's too dangerous, even on the "easier" Italian path. We always keep in mind that some people are afraid of dogs and out of fear can make a foolish move. For that reason, we always keep the dog at "arm's reach" to leash it. We were lucky this time.

Went to Mangart on Sunday 3.11.24 via ITA path. The road to the saddle was empty (didn't meet a single car at 7:30), which is really lucky, as the road is really "dangerous" (at times very narrow, without barriers and precipitous). The ramp below was open, so no restrictions on the number of cars to the saddle, the hut at the top unfortunately closed. Weather was gorgeous, warm and clear. We hiked very slowly 3h up and 3h down, on purpose to really enjoy the path and the exceptional view. Helmet is definitely mandatory, as the slope of Mangart is relatively smooth, and if a hiker above you dislodges a stone/rock, it often has nowhere to stop. Additionally, quite fractured/cracked walls and slopes sometimes pose a danger that something falls and flies down the slope. The condition of ropes/chains could really be better - they need serious repair at at least 5 places and I will personally write to the mountaineering association responsible to fix them as soon as possible. Given how popular Mangart is, this should definitely be arranged. The first two-thirds of the path is in shade, so you really need to layer up like an onion if going in spring/autumn when it's not yet so warm. Quite strong wind can blow in certain sections, so hats/buffs essential. Gloves for good grip also very useful because of the chains. View from the top (and already on the path) really exceptional. Almost no snow, here and there a patch, but if there's higher chance of snow, it will likely be present on this shady side exactly where it's very precipitous in the middle of the path - there without crampons it's almost impossible if the snow is frozen. Safe travels in the mountains and best regards!

Hi, I agree about the chains. Already last year they were disastrous. They didn't even respond to my report. I doubt the mountaineering association doesn't know about the condition of the chains. If the association has no money for renovation, the Bovec Tourist Association could pay for it, since two-thirds of hikers to Mangart are tourists staying in Bovec. They lure tourists with a visit to Mangart too. They should go look at the condition just across the border in Italy!

Our associations unfortunately have no jurisdiction over the Italian path, as the name indicates it is in Italy.

If memory serves, the markings are Slovenian. And given what Italian fixed ropes are like in those parts, it's damn interesting that the Italians installed such poor fixed ropes on Mangart. Maybe they accidentally installed those from Montaž when they were renovating the path to Montaž. 😁 😁 😁

The path is Italian, on their territory. The Slovenian one was routed precisely so that we had access to Mangart in previous times. As the hut keeper under the pass told me last year: ours are not allowed, but the Italians don't care.

Post/report the condition of the trail and hut here, email is: giuliocarnicasentieri@cai-fvg.it (in English), I have already notified CAI FVG twice because PZS officially asked me to forward it, and I don't want to do it anymore, sooner or later they will fix this too, at least they have plenty in FJK to follow EN standards and not just the Mangart group where in recent years they renovated the via ferrata on Visoka Ponca, via ferrata Via della Vita, and a new one on Strug, they invested quite a lot of money

Today we were on Mangart via the Italian route. The cables were renewed a few days ago and, if my memory serves me right from previous visits, there are also some new ones or more cables than a few years ago. Safe steps to all.
