Access to starting point:
Leave the A1 motorway at the Gornja Ploča exit and continue along the expressway to the second exit towards Knin and Gračac. Drive to the village of Bruvno, where you pay attention to the left turnoff towards Mazin. The road becomes worse and narrower; follow it to Mazinski preval, where we notice the hiking sign for Kremen. Park somewhere nearby.
Path description:
From the starting point, head along the road towards Kremen. The road crosses the slope of the nearby peak Previje and we arrive at a junction. Continue straight ahead, where the markers also direct us, right is the hamlet Kovačevići. The road ascends unevenly through belts of forest and meadows and crosses the slopes of Šolobanice and Glavice. En route, we encounter a sign about the state hunting ground. After approximately 45 minutes of walking, we arrive at the next junction, where there is a barrier (in May 2024 it was open). Continue left past the barrier and the road becomes somewhat worse. The road flattens and when we spot the walls on the left side we are near the junction for Kremen. At the junction, the sign directs us left onto the path, which first gently climbs to a small clearing, then steeply ascends through a small valley. In springtime there is a huge amount of wild garlic here. After approximately half an hour of ascent, we are at a small saddle. The area is called Ledina. To the left branches an inconspicuous path towards the Klapavica spring. We continue along the level ground, which begins to steeply ascend, soon a rope assists in overcoming the steepness. We emerge from the forest onto a scenic grassy ridge. The path turns left and in 15 minutes of walking with some short descents along the scenic path we arrive at Kremen, from which a view opens in all directions.
Description and photos refer to the condition in May 2024.
