Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice highway, take the Lesce exit and follow the road towards Bled; there, at the traffic-light-controlled intersection, signs for Pokljuka direct us to the right. We follow this road, which in the lower part takes us through a few villages and later begins to ascend more steeply, to Mrzli Studenec (mountain pasture located just over 50 m behind the intersection where the road to Bohinj branches off to the left downhill). In the middle of the mentioned mountain pasture, a road branches off to the right from the main road leading to Medvedova konta, Pri Rupah, and mountain pasture Zajavornik. Here we turn right and follow the road to the next intersection, where we continue right towards Medvedova konta (straight ahead to mountain pasture Zajavornik). The road ahead descends after a short ascent and brings us to the next intersection, where we continue left towards Blejska koča. We then follow this road to the parking lot before the barrier; further driving is prohibited.
In winter, the road to the described starting point is usually not passable.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the rough road closed with a barrier, which quickly turns into a cart track. To the moderately steep cart track, the path from mountain pasture Zajavornik and the monument Pri Rupah soon joins. We continue the ascent on the very wide cart track, which in a gentle ascent brings us in a few minutes to the grazing area of mountain pasture Lipanca. Here the path turns right and leads us in a moderate ascent along the right lower edge of the mentioned mountain pasture. Next follows crossing a grassy slope, and the path that brings us back into the forest makes a sharp right turn at the NOB memorial plaque, after which we reach the shepherd and mountain hut on mountain pasture Lipanca.
From the hut, we continue left towards Viševnik and Mrežce on the path from which soon left downhill the path towards Rudno polje branches off. We continue straight, and the moderately steep path after a short ascent brings us to the next junction, where we continue towards Viševnik (right Mrežce - steep path). The path then in a gentle descent crosses, in unfavorable conditions, an avalanche-prone area and on the other side begins to ascend gently. The path ascends through increasingly sparse forest and soon brings us to a junction below the summit of Mrežc.
We continue left (right Mrežce 15 minutes) on the path that crosses the southern slopes of the less known peak (Vrh Razora), after which we reach the next junction.
Here the path to Debeli vrh branches off to the right, while we continue slightly left on the path that bypasses the aforementioned peak on the left side. With views of the Pokljuka plateau and Spodnje Bohinjske gore, for some time we cross occasionally somewhat steeper slopes, then, after the second branch-off to Debeli vrh goes to the right, we arrive at Solnice (at Solnice is the lowest point of the ridge between Tosc and Debela peč).
From Solnice, a nice view opens into Krma and the mountains steeply rising above it. The path ahead enters Blejska konta (small valley between Veliki Selišnik and Draški rob), where it first ascends gently, then ever more steeply. After a short steep ascent, the path quickly flattens and brings us into the plateau-like terrain south of Draški rob. A few more minutes of gentle ascent follow, then we descend a few dozen steps to the next junction, where we continue right (straight downhill Rudno polje) towards Srenjski preval and Viševnik, which we reach after a few minutes of further walking.
From Srenjski preval, we continue left (straight downhill Jezerce, right Studorski preval and Mali Draški vrh) on the path that ascends traversely across a relatively crumbly slope (danger of slipping). Higher up, the path moves to the western side of the ridge and flattens somewhat. A transverse ascent follows on the path running along the main ridge of Viševnik. Just a few meters below the summit, the path crosses a short exposed traverse, then without major difficulties we step onto the summit of Viševnik.
