Molnarjev breg - Planjava pri Kamniškem vrhu

Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana–Jesenice motorway, take the Vodice exit, then continue driving to the first traffic-light intersection in Vodice, where we continue left towards Cerklje na Gorenjskem and Brnik. When we arrive at the main roundabout in Spodnji Brnik, we continue driving towards Cerklje and Krvavec ski centre. At the end of the settlement Cerklje na Gorenjskem, we leave the main road which continues towards Velesovo and Visoko, and continue driving slightly right onto the road towards the Krvavec ski centre. Further on, we arrive at the village Grad, where signs for the settlement Ambrož pod Krvavcem direct us right onto a steep asphalt road (straight: lower station of the circular-cabin cable car to Krvavec and Štefanja Gora). When the steepness on the steep road eases slightly, we arrive at an intersection, where we continue left towards the settlement Ambrož pod Krvavcem (straight: settlements Ravne, Apno and Šenturška Gora). A little further, the road temporarily descends slightly, then ascends through occasionally quite panoramic slopes. Higher up, we arrive at Ambrož pod Krvavcem, where we bypass the church of St. Ambrož and tourist farm Pr Ambružarju on the left side. From the tourist farm onwards, the road enters the forest and ascends relatively steeply diagonally. When we arrive at the left hairpin bend, we are at the starting point, where we park in a suitable place by the smaller intersection.
B) From the Jesenice–Ljubljana motorway, take the Kranj–east exit, then continue driving towards Brnik, Komenda and Mengeš. When we arrive at the main roundabout in Spodnji Brnik, we continue driving towards Cerklje and Krvavec ski centre. At the end of the settlement Cerklje na Gorenjskem, we leave the main road which continues towards Velesovo and Visoko, and continue driving slightly right onto the road towards the Krvavec ski centre. Route description:
From the starting point, we head onto the forest road that crosses the slopes of Molnarjev breg. We ascend slightly along the road, then arrive at a smaller junction, where we continue slightly left on the upper road (the lower road or cart track soon ends), beside which we also notice the blazes. There follows a few minutes of traversing ascent along the road, from which we occasionally get some views. A little further, the road splits again, but we once more choose the left upper road, from which, just some 10 steps further, a steep cart track branches off to the left. We continue along the road to the right bend.
From the bend, we continue straight onto the marked footpath, which continues traversing through the forest. In the forest we soon reach a marked junction, where we continue straight towards Kamniški vrh (right downhill to Kamniški vrh via planina Osredki). There follows a few minutes of traversing, then we reach the eastern ridge of Kržišče, a few steps further to the marked junction.
We continue slightly right (left to Kriška planina) along the path which begins to descend along or slightly north of the vegetated ridge. At a smaller saddle (1200 m) between the massifs of Krvavec and Kamniški vrh, the path from planina Osredki joins from the right; we continue straight along the path running along the northern side of the ridge. After a short traverse, the marked path approaches the ridge completely; at this point we leave it and in a few steps climb onto the ridge (slightly left: marked path to Kamniški vrh).
There follows a few minutes of ascent along the path continuing along the increasingly panoramic ridge of Planjava, and we reach the partly grassy summit.
