Moravče - Slivna (Pivkelj)

Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana - Maribor highway, take the Krtina exit, then continue driving towards Moravče. In Moravče, continue right and park on the marked parking lot near the parish church.
B) From the Zasavje direction, first drive to Izlake, then continue driving towards Moravče. In Moravče, at the intersection near the church where the main road turns right, continue straight and park on the marked parking lot near the parish church.

Path description:
From the center of Moravče we continue along the main road which leads towards Izlake. Initially we walk on a sidewalk, a little after company Nissan Krulc, we go slightly right on the road in the direction of settlements Ribče and Dešen and mountain hut Planinski dom Ušte - Žerenk. The path ahead starts ascending on a somewhat narrower asphalt road, from which when we look back a nice view opens up towards Limbarska gora, and in good visibility, the view reaches all the way to the highest peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Soon after Moravče ends, we get to hamlet Podbrdo, where we leave the asphalt road and continue left in the direction of the mountain hut and sv. Miklavž.
Behind the houses, which we bypass on the left side, the path goes into the forest and starts ascending a little more, and quite quickly it also splits.
We choose the left path (right sv. Miklavž), which ascends transversely towards the left, higher it widens into a newer cart track. For a few minutes we ascend on the mentioned cart track, and then again on a mountain path, which higher crosses the macadam road, and a few dozen steps higher we reach an asphalt road, which we follow to the left. We walk on the road to a smaller saddle, where blazes direct us to the left, on the path which crosses a panoramic meadow, through which with nice views, we walk to the nearby mountain hut.
From the mountain hut, we continue straight in the direction of Zgornja Slivna and the peak Pivkelj, where through a strip of forest we reach an asphalt road. Further, we walk past the ranch pr Oselet, where at the smaller crossroad we go on the lower road, and at the next crossroad, we choose the upper right road, on which also signs for GEOSS direct us. Next follows an ascent through the forest, and the road quickly turns right and splits. We choose the left macadam road (the right road leads to the nearby house), on which we ascend to hamlet Štance Laze. In the mentioned hamlet, the road flattens, and we walk along it to a marked junction, where we go right on the path in the direction of Pivkelj and GEOSS (straight - unmarked path towards sv. Florijan, Zgornja Gora and GEOSS past sv. Florijan).
Next follows some more entirely easy walking along the edge of the forest, then blazes lead us into the forest, and the path temporarily also descends. The descent does not last long, and after a few minutes of ascent we reach the cart track, where we go left (right we arrive at the top of quarry Ušenišče, which is also indicated by a quite old warning sign).
On the gentle cart track we walk to the nearby marked junction, where signs for Pivkelj direct us to the right (straight Zgornja Slivna and GEOSS).
Next follows less than 5 minutes of ascent and we reach a forested peak, where we can rest on the bench.
