Moravske Toplice - Sveti Benedikt (Kančevci)

Access to starting point:
A) We leave the Pomurska highway at exit Gančani, and then we follow the signs for Bogojina and Moravske Toplice. In Bogojina we go left and we drive to Moravske Toplice, where we park on one of the many parking lots.
B) We drive to Murska Sobota, and then we follow the signs for Moravske Toplice. When we get to Moravske Toplice, we park on one of the parking lots in the center of the settlement.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we walk to the evangelical church in Moravske Toplice, and then we continue on a sidewalk in the direction of Dobrovnik, and by the main road, we walk only to the first crossroad, where after the flower shop Cvetličarna Lanen cvet we continue left, where the blazes also point us. We continue straight to the end of the street, and then we go left towards Terme Vivat (to the right continues a marked path towards Bogojina). At the thermal spa, the road turns a little to the right, and at the end of the settlement, we continue straight. Further, we walk on a macadam road which leads us among fields, and when we reach a somewhat wider macadam road we go right (left - Martjanci and Murska Sobota).
Further, we ascend barely noticeably for some time, and when we get to the forest, the path becomes steeper. A somewhat steeper part is short, and then follows a longer gentle ascent, where we mostly ascend through the forest. Higher the forest ends, and the road becomes asphalted and brings us to the settlement Ivanovci, where we get to a partly marked crossing.
Right upwards continues the Pomurska mountain trail, which leads further towards the Rotunda sv. Nikolaja in Selo, where a mountain sign also points, and we continue straight, where there are no signposts, but we still follow the blazes. Next follows a few minutes of easy ascent, and then from the crossroad we go left. We continue past a few more houses, and when we get to Gostilna Zeleni gaj, where we reach a wider asphalt road, we go left.
By the main road we walk only a short time because already at the first crossroad, where there is a nicely arranged resting place with a table and benches, we go right. After the crossroad, we again get to a part of the settlement Ivanovci, and with nice views on Goričko we continue without large changes in altitude. Further, we get to Fokovci, where at the crossroads we continue straight, and after Fokovci the road passes into the forest and brings us to a marked crossroad from which we continue straight on a side road, by which there are signs for Dom duhovnosti Kančevci (the main road turns right and leads further towards the settlement Kančevci).
Only a few dozen meters ahead from the crossroad, from the right also joins the marked path from Selo, and we continue straight, where the path brings us out of the forest on a panoramic part, from where a view opens up towards the valley and in good visibility on the eastern Karawanks. Next follows a few minutes of a light ascent and past a cross we get to Dom duhovnosti Kančevci, where there is a larger parking lot, and a few dozen strides ahead also to the church of St. Benedikt.
