Na kopiš - Planina Zgornja Konjščica (via Spodnja Konjščica)

Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice, take the exit Ljubelj (Tržič), then continue driving towards Ljubelj. Just before the gas station in Bistrica pri Tržiču, leave the main road and continue driving right towards Tržič. Further on, drive through Tržič towards Dolžanova soteska, then in the settlement Slap continue right towards Lom pod Storžičem and Grahovše. On the section between Lom pod Storžičem and Grahovše, a road branches off to the left towards the hamlet Potarje and farms Tič, Hariž, Špan, which all belong to the hamlet Potarje. Continue driving past the turn-off for farm Hariž (panoramic bend with a bench) towards Tič, on a somewhat narrower asphalt road all the way to the crossroads below farm Tič, where the asphalt ends. This is our starting point, named "Na kopiš" (Na kopišču), where there is also a signpost and an ecological island for waste from the mountain farms. Park in an appropriate place by the crossroads (to the right a road branches off for farms Tič and Strmc, to the left for farms Pinč and Urh). On the signpost we also notice signs for mountain pasture Konjščica (left for the variant along the macadam road all the way to mountain pasture Sp. Konjščica—see the third variant of the access and path description for mountain pasture Spodnja Konjščica: "Na kopiš - Spodnja Konjščica (on the road)", which is more suitable for cycling, right for the variant past farm Tič, which runs along the road only at the beginning for a smaller part, then passes into a pleasant mountain path through the forest all the way to the viewpoint "Na Boštu", which is just below mountain pasture Konjščica.

Path description:
From the starting point "Na kopiš" to farm Tič the path is not marked, further to mountain pasture Spodnja Konjščica it is, so from parking lot "Na kopiš" head right onto the road (direction Tič, Strmc) and in 5 minutes of walking on the macadam road arrive just before farm Tič (right, below the access road to farm Tič is farm Strmc, we see both houses).
Here we have two options: we can continue on the left road (short bypass road for timber removal), which just above the buildings of farm Tič joins the road leading through the farmyard. If we continue on the right road (second option), we arrive at the yard of farm Tič, where we join the marked path to mountain pasture Konjščica from the direction of Grahovše (past Uskovec), notice the marks. Continue through the yard uphill (left vegetable garden, right farm outbuilding) to the junction with the bypass macadam road (first option). Continue briefly on the road, then the marks direct us slightly left onto the marked footpath. If there is a lot of snow and the path is not beaten, we can continue on the road, as the path above the pasture also returns to the road. Continue on the road through the forest to the next pasture, where from the right the path from farm Pavšel also joins. With nice views on the ridge of Kriška gora, just a little higher from the mentioned junction we arrive at a wooden log cabin, where our path along the road ends (area called Na Vršeh).
Here continue slightly left on an initially somewhat more overgrown path, along which we quickly arrive at a wooden cottage, Potarje 44. Continue uphill through the forest, cross the forest road, then continue first right, then left, where the path moderately ascends for a short time. Due to numerous smaller junctions, carefully follow the marks. Cross a stream, then the path joins a cart track, above a small clearing the path brings us to a forest road. Follow the road left for just a few meters, as the marks and signpost then direct us right onto an ascending footpath. Ahead, the path first ascends the slope somewhat to the right, then straight up, on a rocky scree it turns left and higher returns to the road near the viewpoint "Na Boštu" (viewpoint is less than 5 minutes from the marked path). Just below the road, where part of the forest was recently cut, a view opens towards Tržič, Dobrča, Begunjščica and Košuta. When stepping onto the road, continue right and after about 10 minutes of further walking step out of the forest onto mountain pasture Spodnja Konjščica.
Bypass the shepherd hut on the mentioned mountain pasture on the left side and continue on the marked path, which gently ascends to the upper edge of the pasture. Here the path enters the forest and ascends more steeply for a short time, then turns somewhat to the left and gradually flattens. Just a little further, we exit the forest onto the pastures of the extensive mountain pasture Zgornja Konjščica.
