Nova vas - Bloško jezero

Access to starting point:
A) From the highway Ljubljana - Koper, take the Unec exit, then follow the road in the direction of Cerknica and further in the direction of Bloška Polica and Nova vas. When we arrive in Nova vas, we park at a suitable place in the center of the settlement.
B) From Ljubljana, we drive towards Kočevje or vice versa, but only to the settlement Velike Lašče, where we continue right (from the direction of Kočevje left) in the direction of Nova vas na Blokah. Further, we drive on an occasionally somewhat more winding and also ascending road that leads us past some smaller settlements. When we arrive in Nova vas, we park at a suitable place in the center of the settlement.
C) From the road Kočevje - Ljubljana, at the settlement Žlebič, take the road in the direction of Sodražica. From Sodražica, continue on the main road towards Nova vas na Blokah. When we arrive in Nova vas, we park at a suitable place in the center of the settlement.

Path description:
From the center of Nova vas, we continue for a short time on the main road towards Sodražica, then the signs for the footpath towards the settlement Volčje direct us left onto the road which leads us past a few more houses. Behind the houses or smaller blocks, we continue slightly right and proceed on an ascending macadam road which leads us into a belt of forest. When the forest ends after a few minutes, we step to the edge of fenced pastures, a few steps ahead again into the forest. After a smaller saddle, the path starts to descend moderately, then it levels out and brings us out of the forest again. A few minutes of easy walking across meadows follow, then we arrive in the settlement Volčje, where we step onto asphalt again. At the nearby junction, we continue right in the direction of Bloško jezero, to which only a stroll past the small church of St. Volbenk remains.
