Oberort (parking lot Grüner See) - Jassing Almhütt´n

Access to starting point:
From the border crossing Šentilj we continue driving on the highway towards Gradec / Graz and forward towards Linz and Salzburg. Highway A9 we soon leave and continue driving slightly right towards Vienna / Wien, continuing on expressway S35. Near the settlement Bruck an der Mur, we leave expressway S35 and follow signs for the mentioned settlement. From the nearby roundabout, we take the first exit and follow signs for the town Kapfenberg. Still in the town Bruck an der Mur, at the traffic light intersection, we turn left towards Trägoß and St. Katharein, following tourist signs for Grüner See. After approximately 23 km of driving, we reach the settlement Oberort, where, from the intersection in the center of the settlement, we turn left and drive a few hundred meters to the marked and arranged parking lot in front of Grüner See.
Price for parking for one day is 6 euros (August 2023).

Path description:
From the parking lot, we return to the asphalt road and continue in the direction of Grüner See. The marked path continues on the asphalt road, while slightly to the left leads a few minutes longer walking path. A little further, we reach the lake Pfarrerteich, where another walking path branches off to the right, but we continue on the asphalt road. When we enter a lane of forest, the first mentioned walking path joins from the left, and then we quickly reach the inn Seehof beim Grünen See.
We bypass the inn on the left side, and just a little further, we reach the proximity of lake Grünen See, which we bypass on the left side. Next follows a steeper ascent on the asphalt road, which we follow to the left hairpin turn; at the end of the hairpin, we turn right onto a footpath that continues on a wide cart track, and at a few crossings, we follow the blazes or signs for Jassingalm. Higher up, we reach a small saddle, after which we start descending; we soon return to a drivable road, which we follow to the right. The path ahead on the right side bypasses the intermittent lake Pfarrerlacke, and a little further, we pass the parking lot or the starting point of the path that leads towards the saddle Lamingsattel and onward to some surrounding peaks. The gentle road then leads us past a few more parking lots, and we follow the path in the direction of Jassingalm. In the final part, the road moderately ascends again and quickly brings us to the cottage Jassing Almhütt’n.
