Orovac - Planinarski dom Kamenitovac

Access to starting point:
We leave the Zagreb-Varaždin motorway at the Sveta Helena exit, then drive towards the settlements of Križevci and Virovitica. At the Gradec junction, we continue towards Bjelovar (when the description was written, the motorway was only in use up to the settlement of Farkaševac, status in 2025). When we reach Bjelovar, we follow the signs for Daruvar.
After Bjelovar, we drive through the villages of Ždralovi, Prespa, Patkovac, then arrive at the settlement of Severin, where at the traffic light we turn left towards Šandrovac. We continue through Severin and reach the settlement of Orovac.
In Orovac, at the intersection, the main road branches off to Šandrovac and Kašljevac, but we go slightly left onto the parallel road leading to the cemetery, where we park.

Path description:
From the cemetery, we continue north; from the junction with a cross, we go slightly left uphill. The path ahead begins to ascend and leads us further through vineyards (this section of the path is unmarked). A little higher, markings appear at one of the junctions, but we continue through the vineyards. When we reach the intersection where paths begin to descend, we choose the left path (the intersection from our direction is poorly marked).
During the descent, we reach the Predavec farm, where we notice an isolated marking on the fence; the asphalt then ends and we enter the forest.
The forest road quickly takes us to a junction, from which we continue straight into the forest and begin to descend.
When the descent ends, we start ascending again and reach the steepest part of the path, which is quite slippery when wet. The gradient gradually eases, and later we easily descend to the next forest road.
We continue uphill along the road; markings are quite sparse in this section, and the path leads us past a road barrier. Five minutes further, we reach a junction where we meet the Šandrovac - Maglenča road, but we go left into the forest.
A somewhat longer descent follows; after a longer bend, we arrive at the edge of the forest, where the path levels out and takes us to the pleasant Medin rest area, where we can rest.
The path continues along the forest road, which we leave a few minutes before reaching the forest. A somewhat steeper ascent through the forest follows, with several educational panels of the forest educational trail along the path and some jumps for "mountain" bikers.
The path levels out, and upon leaving the forest in one minute of further walking, we arrive at the mountain hut on Kamenitovac.
