Oskar Schauer Sattelhaus - Terenbachalm (circular path)

Access to starting point:
A) If we come from the Štajerska side, then before Graz on the highway we turn left towards Klagenfurt. After 15 km we take the exit Mooskirchen, where we drive on a regional road through Voitsberg to the town Köflach. After the town we turn right towards Gradenberg and Graden bei Köflach. In the latter on the left side of the road, we notice a sign for Oskar Schauer Sattelhaus. After 15 minutes of driving, we arrive at the mountain hut, where there is an arranged parking lot.
B) If we come from the Gorenjska side, we join the highway A2 in the direction of Graz. Approximately 20 km after the town Wolfsberg we take the exit number 231 - Packsattel. On the road, we drive all the way to the town Köflach, where we follow the above description.

Path description:
At the mountain hut Oskar Schauer Sattelhaus we leave the car and continue straight to the first junction. Here we choose the path number 547, which leads to the statue of Jesus Christ. From the junction, the forest path starts slowly ascending. After a good 20 minutes we arrive at the statue, where the forest border ends and a nice view opens up on neighbouring mountain pastures and mountains. From the statue the path slightly ascends to the ridge of the mountain pasture, where at the signpost we turn right on the path number 547, which leads to Zeißmann Hütte. Along the ridge a gentle path leads us, which brings us to the highest peak of the mountain pasture Terenbachalm (1734 m).
From the domed peak the path starts descending to the hut Zeißmann Hütte, which is situated at an altitude of 1500 meters. The hut is privately owned, but it can be a good place for a snack.
From the hut we choose the path number 505. A nice gentle forest path brings us to Terenbachhütte, where along the forest road we continue all the way to the starting point.
