Access to starting point:
From highway Zagreb - Split we go to the exit Otočac. We follow the road ahead towards the village Krasno and Sjeverni Velebit. Considerably winding road through a village Švica brings us in Krasno, where the road from Senj joins (possible also access from this side). In Krasno we continue towards signs nacionalni park Sjeverni Velebit and Dom Zavižan. The road which then becomes a macadam brings us to the entrance in the park, where an entrance fee has to be paid. Further, we drive on the road which brings us to a crossroad at the chapel, where we park on a parking lot.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue towards the mountain hut Dom Zavižan on an asphalt road to a small saddle between Vučjak and Velika Kosa, where a beautiful view opens up towards the sea. Here we leave the road and go left on a grassy slope towards the summit. After few minutes of walking on a grassy slope path brings us to the summit Velika Kosa.
