Parking in front of chapel - Zavižanski Pivčevac (via Buljevac)

Access to starting point:
From the Zagreb - Split motorway take the Otočac exit. Follow the road ahead towards the village of Krasno and Northern Velebit. The quite winding road takes us through the village of Švica to Krasno, where the road from Senj joins us (access also possible from this direction). In Krasno we continue towards the signs for Northern Velebit National Park and Zavižan hut. The road, which then becomes gravel, takes us to the park entrance, where the entrance fee is collected. Further we drive along the road that shortly before the chapel takes us to a smaller parking lot by the road, where we notice the signs for Mali Rajinac.

Path description:
From the parking lot head onto the footpath, which initially descends slightly and circles the sinkhole on the right side of the path. Then follows the ascent to the place where the path brings us out of the forest. Follow the path that runs through the beautiful grassy clearing to the junction at Buljevac. Continue slightly right in the direction of Pivčevac along the path that soon takes us into the forest. The path ahead climbs quite steeply in places through quite overgrown forest. The path through the forest is sometimes poorly visible, but frequent markers assist us. A few steps below the summit we step out of the forest onto the panoramic summit.
