Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Maribor, we take the Celje exit and follow the road ahead in the direction of Laško. Soon after Celje (still before Laško), to the left (at the traffic light) over the bridge, the road towards Celjska koča branches off. On the other side of the bridge over the river Savinja, we continue right and the road through the underpass under the railway track brings us to the village Zagrad. Further, we continue on the road, which most of the time runs by the stream Ločnica and brings us higher to the village Zvodno. Further, the road turns left and brings us to a crossroad, where we continue right. After an additional 100m of driving, the road towards Štore branches off to the left downwards (access also possible from this direction). We continue straight and then park on the parking lot by the road.
Route description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road ahead, which past a few houses brings us to a junction of paths, where we continue left in the direction of Barbarin pohod. We continue on a wide footpath, from which after a few minutes of moderate ascent to the left branches off the path over Greben. Here we continue slightly right and the path gets very close to the forest road which we left a few minutes ago. The path ahead leads us on the left side of the road and higher again comes to the mentioned road, which meanwhile has already changed into a cart track. We continue straight upwards in the direction of Srebotnik (left Svetina, Tolsti vrh and Celjska koča) on the path which ascends steeper and steeper. The already steep path brings us higher onto a vegetated ridge, where it ascends even steeper. We follow this steep and especially in wet slippery and dangerous path to the top of Srebotnik.

Discussion about the trip Pečovje - Srebotnik
Luciano6713. 09. 2009
Srebotnik is by no means a summit suitable for outings, as the access to the top is very dangerous and partially exposed to an overhanging wall. Everyone planning to visit it, be careful, as a slip can be fatal, and the summit is definitely not suitable for ascending with children. Nice view from the top, but - utmost caution! I think the wall is suitable for pitons and protection with a cable.

Hello.
Although every path is subjectively difficult, I think Luciano is describing a climbing wall.
But to the summit there are three relatively easy ways, the ridge one is steep and slippery in rain and winter and leads us through the forest.
Best regards.

Hi. I think Luciano is exaggerating a bit, the path to Srebotnik from Pečovje is quite pleasant, though the last 50m of ascent are critical, but no panic, you just hold on to the cable nicely and go. Sometimes you could get to Srebotnik via Hudičev graben - left (right to C. koča), but they've closed that path now (probably privatization or something?), and that was really almost a climbing path, best regards.nasmeh
Luciano6715. 09. 2009
Well, marchy, I meant the path through Marijin graben and access from the road leading to Celjska koča, so there's no mistake. When you get under the wall of Srebotnik, you have to go right, where it's sort of "on all fours", and below you there's quite a nice void. That part is dangerous, especially if returning the same way, and I advise against it. No exaggeration, right, marchy?

Best regards.zavijanje z očmi

Luciano, is the path described above the one you say is dangerous, or not?
Luciano6715. 09. 2009
Enka, the path described above, direction Pečovje - Srebotnik is passable and not demanding, maybe just in the last meters. My description is for the direction Marijin graben - Celjska koča road - Srebotnik, where you arrive directly at the foot of the wall.

I wish you a pleasant ascent.
Enka15. 09. 2009
Aha, OK. So I don't push where I can't climb :-).
marchy15. 09. 2009
Look Luciano, it's a fact that each of us has a different criterion for a certain ascent, we went this year from Robanov kot through Molička planina to Korošica and the path didn't seem so demanding to me, it's true I have no issues with vertigo, because when you look down it really squeezes your heart, but I couldn't resist the temptation, held onto the pegs with one hand or grabbed with the other and took pictures, hey really crazy pictures, it was worth it.
Regards.

Enka, here's a tip for you, you can try a trip to Baba and Ostri vrh (find the path on Posavsko Zasavskem hribovju) just stick to it carefully and make sure not to mix up lower and upper Rečice and if the ascent to Baba isn't too hard for you, then head calmly to Srebotnik too.
Regards nasmeh
Enka16. 09. 2009
Marchy, this Baba and Ostri vrh look really nice. I didn't even know there were such nice hikes in Zasavje :-). Let's check it out at the first opportunity.
Luciano6716. 09. 2009
marchy, upload those pics, otherwise I didn't even know about this tour you mentioned!
It'll have to be checked at the first opportunity.

Take care.
Luciano6716. 09. 2009
Anyway, Korošica, marchy, beautiful, but I tell you at two places it squeezed me a bit, especially when you can't resist looking down, so the wire rope really comes in handy.nasmeh

Regards.
marchy16. 09. 2009
Yes really Luciano, you're right, Korošica is really beautiful, but you must crown it with ascent to Ojstrica or at least Lučki dedec, for return I more recommend planina Podvežak (only problem is transport, if you leave car in Robanov kot ????) you avoid pegs, cables and deep views. Maybe I'll upload some pics after all, but I still need to figure out how zmeden regards.

Hello!
I'm interested if someone could precisely describe the path to Srebotnik that joins at the entrance to Hudičev graben. There is a sign Srebotnik, Mimo Marije on a tree. Usually I go through H. graben to CK, never yet to Srebotnik, but I'm tempted to conquer that summit too.
You mention 3 approaches to Srebotnik. Where can I find precise descriptions of these paths, with the above description I can't help myself much.

hello!
If it helps you. Last year we went through Hudičev graben to Celjska koča. There are signs for Srebotnik. You can't go wrong, the path is marked. Hope I helped you a bit. Go to Celjska koča, further on it's a nice marked path.

juliusalpin,
if you want to go to Srebotnik, park before the entrance to Hudičev graben and before the ravine at the reservoir turn left, you'll arrive after a quarter of an hour at a tree with marking - picture 4, where you turn right on the northern path to Srebotnik, return in the western direction, below Srebotnik continue to Tovsti vrh, return past the Celje hut through Hudičev graben to the car.
best, Drago

Thanks to both! drago40, I went along the path you described, only that I turned around at the top and returned the same way to the car, which I parked at the hayrack in Pečovje. One more question: in the logbook they write about the eastern and western ridge. You already mentioned something, can you write a bit more about it?
lpp
drago4012. 01. 2011
The eastern ridge is the northern one - slightly to the east, which you climbed.
There is no pure approach from the east, that is above Marija.
The western ridge is in the direction of Bavča and Grmada, where you turn south at the saddle.
From the south, however, it is a wall, school for young alpinists.

Nothing problematic if my 75-year-old grandma and two kids both under 5 years old went up, she just held onto the pegs a bit in the last 50m and there was no problem mežikanje
jsnk_l5. 05. 2020
Can someone please help with exactly where in Pečovje the start (parking) is?
Best regards
karibu5. 05. 2020
You know yourself mežikanje

Nice trip, I recommend it. Unfortunately parking here is not possible - we left the car on the grass by the forest road and upon our return a note was waiting for us saying "Now I will warn others next time I will tow your car private!!!" (there were three cars parked there, all got notes).

Further along the road there are suitable pull-offs in the forest, but they are also blocked with bricks or stones. Parking there is obviously not welcome. Most hikers came via the longer path from the valley.

Forgot to add the coordinates where we parked: 46.208294,15.298036

I suggest starting points at the hayrack in Pečovje or in front of the fish farm in Zvodnem. I have described both starting points several times on hribi.net. I also parked last time directly below Srebotnik in Pečovje, but got stuck in the mud, unfortunately. It's really not good there.

Park at the hayrack... Right across the road on the right is a house and a path leading into the forest... Then just follow Barbarina pot... If there are people outside at that house, ask them
