Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce and follow the road towards Bled and forward towards Bohinjska Bistrica. We continue driving towards the Lake Bohinj (Ribčev laz), where we come to the crossroad, where we continue right in the direction of Stara Fužina. In Stara Fužina at the crossroad at the chapel, we turn sharply left on an ascending road in the direction of the mountain pasture Blato, mountain pasture Vogar and valley Voje. The road ahead brings us to the spot, where the road toll or parking fee has to be paid, we follow it forward to the next crossroad, where we continue left (right Voje). Then we follow the road to the next crossroad (we drive for quite some time), where we turn sharply right in the direction of the mountain pasture Blato (straight mountain pasture Vogar). We follow this road to the parking lot above the mountain pasture Planina Blato.
If road on the mountain pasture Blato is covered with snow we have to park lower, this extends the path for 1 to 1.5 hours.
Path description:
From the parking lot on the mountain pasture Blato we go on a wide cart track in the direction of Planina pri Jezeru. After approximately 10 minutes of ascent we get to a marked crossing, where we continue left (right mountain pasture Planina v Lazu). Cart track, which occasionally a little steeper ascends, higher brings us to a narrower passage, after which we get to even steeper slopes, which cart track only crosses. After that steep part, which is by icy snow dangerous for slipping, the path turns to the left and passes into a pleasant small valley, in which often cold air is retained. The mentioned path, which higher entirely flattens, we follow to the mountain pasture Planina pri Jezeru.
From the mountain hut on the mountain pasture Planina pri Jezeru we continue slightly left and at first a little downwards to a marked crossing (in high snow signposts can be under the snow). We continue slightly right in the direction of the mountain pasture Dedno polje through a small valley. Even though blazes are mostly on rocks and we don't see then in snow, with the orientation there aren't any bigger problems. After a half an hour of walking from Planina pri Jezeru, the path brings us to the mountain pasture Dedno polje, where there is the next crossing.
We continue in the direction of saddle Vrata and mountain hut Zasavska koča on "path", which at first descends to shepherd huts, and then starts ascending on slopes of Kreda on the right and Kovačičeva glava on the left. Further, we are ascending through a small valley between the both mentioned peaks, and then terrain flattens and "path" brings us to the spot, where a nice view opens up on peaks, which surround the initial part of the valley Za Kopico.
Here we will notice a little larger hollow, on which we walk to its other sides (path towards the saddle Vrata runs more to the right).
So at mentioned hollow we leave course of snowless path towards the saddle Vrata and we continue the ascent towards the west.
At the end of the mentioned hollow, to the left a nice passage opens into other more distinct valley between Kovačičeva and Bela glava on the left and indistinct Vrh nad Vodeno Rupo on the right.
From here we already clearly see the peak of Mala and Velika Tičarica.
We still continue an ascent towards the west, only that "path" passes from the valley on increasingly steep slopes, which are in unfavorable conditions dangerous for an avalanche. We continue the ascent on the mentioned slopes, and we stick to a little more left passages, because Mala Tičarica is located on the left side. Higher steepness for a short time decreases a little and then it steeply ascends towards the summit of Mala Tičarica. The last ascent towards the summit is because of substantial steepness also very dangerous for slipping.
In fog is tour orientationally very difficult and I don't recommend it.
On the way: Koča na Planini pri Jezeru mountain hut (1453m), Planina Dedno Polje (1560m)
