Access to starting point:
A) From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice, take the Vodice exit, then continue driving to the first traffic-light intersection in Vodice, where you continue left in the direction of Cerklje na Gorenjskem and Brnik. When you arrive at the main roundabout in Spodnji Brnik, continue driving in the direction of Cerklje and the Krvavec ski resort. At the end of the settlement Cerklje na Gorenjskem, leave the main road, which continues towards Velesovo and Visoko, and continue driving slightly right onto the road in the direction of the Krvavec ski resort. Further on, you arrive at the village of Grad, where signs for the settlement Ambrož pod Krvavcem direct you right onto a steep asphalt road (straight ahead: lower station of the circular cable car to Krvavec and Štefanja Gora). When the steepness on the steep road eases somewhat, you will reach an intersection, where you continue left in the direction of the settlement Ambrož pod Krvavcem (straight ahead: settlements Ravne, Apno and Šenturška Gora). A little further on, the road temporarily descends a bit, then ascends through occasionally quite panoramic slopes. Higher up, you arrive at Ambrož pod Krvavcem, where you pass the church of St. Ambrož and the tourist farm Pr Ambružarju on the left side. From the tourist farm onward, the road enters the forest and ascends through it all the way to the mountain pasture Jezerca, where there is a large arranged parking lot.
B) From the highway Jesenice - Ljubljana, take the Kranj - east exit, then continue driving towards Brnik, Komenda and Mengeš. Path description:
At the end of the large parking lot, the road splits, and we continue on the left main road, which leads towards the Krvavec ski resort (the right road leads to the nearby huts on the mountain pasture Jezerca). Immediately after the turn, where there is a larger number of informational and hiking signposts, there is a barrier across the road, and then we begin to ascend gently along the road. After a few steps, or at the spot where the road enters the forest, a mountain path branches off to the left, leading towards Davovec and Štefanja Gora. After approximately 10 minutes, in the middle of the left turn, the road towards Kriška planina branches off to the right, and we continue on the left wider road, which begins to ascend more noticeably. A little higher, on a smaller clearing, a second road towards Kriška planina also branches off to the right (road to the tourist farm Viženčar and mountain dairy Pr Florjan). We continue further on the "main road", which leads us above the watering place for livestock. Further on, the road ascends diagonally, leading us partly through the forest, partly across panoramic slopes from which a nice view opens towards Gorenjska. When the road levels out, it quickly brings us to the upper station of the circular cable car, opposite which is the Planinski dom na Gospincu or Koča Rozka.
From the Planinski dom na Gospincu, which is located opposite the upper station of the circular cable car on Krvavec, we first descend to the garages, from there continuing in the direction of Hotel Krvavec (if we arrived at the starting point from the mountain pasture Jezerca, then we bypass the mountain hut and the upper station of the circular cable car on the lower left side). We continue along the road, which leads past the start of Bike park Krvavec ("downhill track"), and just a few steps further, a marked mountain path from the saddle Davovec joins from the left (starting point Spodnja Kokra, Štefanja gora and lower station of the circular cable car on Krvavec).
We continue on the road, which runs alongside the summer park Krvavec, then enters the forest, where it also leads past the adventure park. Above the adventure park, we arrive at Penzion Tia, and behind the pension, we ascend in a few hairpin turns to Hotel Krvavec, which is located to the left of the gravel road.
Description and pictures refer to the condition in 2015 (June).
On the way: Dom na Gospincu (1492m), Pension Tia (1550m)
