Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice, we take the exit Lipce (Jesenice East) and drive to Jesenice, where at the health center signs for Planina pod Golico direct us to the right, onto an ascending road. This, after three kilometers of driving past the settlement Prihodi, brings us to the mentioned village. Through Planina pod Golico we drive straight on the main road, past the fire station, whereupon we notice a monument on the right and an abandoned catering facility (Belcijan or Dom pod Golico) on the left. We park nearby.
Path description:
From the starting point, we return along the road to a smaller crossroads with a sign, where we turn left (right church), uphill on an asphalt road. After the right bend, we follow the sign Črni vrh and turn left. The uphill road first leads us straight past a house and some holiday cottages; a little higher, at the junction we choose right and it loses the asphalt surface, then turns right towards the southwest. After a steeper ascent on a concrete surface, we arrive at the junction named Triglavček, where we turn left and continue uphill in the direction of Smučarski dom Črni Vrh, Španov Vrh. Higher up, the path first brings us near the ski slope, which we then cross; a little higher still, behind a sharper left bend, the macadam path levels out. After a few steps of further walking, we notice a cart track on the left that leads into the forest. Along the right side at the start of this cart track there is another, older cart track that branches off from the first and heads slightly right uphill through the forest. We step onto the path that runs along the right side of this cart track and continue uphill towards the east. A little higher, where one of the cart tracks joins from the left, we continue slightly right, after which the path levels out briefly. On this section, where the cart track forks, we continue straight, slightly uphill, while overlooking a smaller left branch of the cart track. Further on, the path, which ascends moderately, first curves left in an arc; higher up it brings us to a wide forest ridge where there is a junction. Here the path levels out; we turn left and continue towards the northwest. After a short flat section, the cart track ends; we continue slightly right uphill towards the right edge of the wide ridge along which we are walking. At the edge, we encounter a salt lick and notice a path that then disappears. After a few steps of further walking, where we need only to head slightly left, we descend a little and ascend again, then continue along the increasingly sharp and partly rocky edge all the way to the destination Na pečeh. Here a wonderful view opens up on the Karawanks, Julian Alps and Planina pod Golico.
