Planina pod Golico - Ski lodge Črni vrh

Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway we turn at the Lipce exit (or Hrušica) and continue following the road towards Jesenice. At the intersection near the renovated health centre in Jesenice a traffic-light junction and directional signs for Planina pod Golico direct us onto the ascending road. The relatively steep and winding road soon brings us to the mentioned village where in May we can admire the blooming of daffodils on the surrounding meadows. We park at one of the arranged public parking areas near the lower station of the Španov vrh cable car, observing the special traffic regime and possible parking fee during the daffodil blooming period.

Route description:
From the parking area we continue along the asphalted road which after a few minutes of walking brings us to a marked junction where we proceed right towards Španov vrh and the ski lodge Črni vrh (left Rožca, straight Golica). The road we follow for the ascent crosses a stream and only a few steps further leads us to an unmarked junction where we continue on the left along an increasingly steep road. The road that climbs past individual holiday houses and along which we notice rare and faded markings rises even more steeply higher up and then brings us to the place where we cross a ski slope.
The gradient soon eases and the increasingly scenic path that leads across numerous meadows quickly takes us to the ski lodge Črni vrh.
