Planina pri Sevnici - Debeli vrh (Bohor)

Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Sevnica (to here from Radeče, Mokronoga or Krško), then we head on the road in the direction of Planina pri Sevnici. When we get to the Petrol gas station, which is located right next to Planina pri Sevnici, we turn right in the direction of the Montpreis company and immediately after the crossroad we park on a larger asphalt parking lot by the cemetery.
B) We drive to Šentjur (to here from Celje, Štajerska highway exit Dramlje or Šmarje pri Jelšah), then we follow the signs for Kozje and Planina pri Sevnici. At the end of Šentjur we go right in the direction of Planina pri Sevnici (slightly left - Kozje and Podsreda). Further, we are mostly ascending, and when the road flattens and we notice the Petrol gas station on the right side, which is located right next to Planina pri Sevnici, we go left in the direction of the Montpreis company and then immediately after the crossroad we park on the parking lot by the cemetery.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we return to the main road and from the nearby crossroad we head towards Sevnica. We descend for approximately 20 minutes along the edge of the main road, from which beautiful views open up on the surrounding hills, then we arrive at the settlement Stara Žaga, where the blazes direct us left onto a side road. The path ahead ascends past a few houses and we arrive at a marked junction, where the marked path splits.
We continue on the road in the direction of Koča na Bohorju (right Skalica), which at the end of the settlement becomes macadam and brings us into the gorge of Beli potok. Higher up, the road makes two hairpin turns, and from the junction after the second hairpin turn we go left. We ascend along the road for some time, then, when the road turns right, we continue left along the stream, where a rope helps us on a short steep section (greater slipping danger mainly in wet conditions and if frozen). A little further, another rope helps, then we ascend diagonally to the saddle north of Kamnega vrh (833 m), where we return to the road and there is a marked junction.
Here a path sharply branches off to the left towards Šentvid pri Planini, left along the road a path leads to the eastern part of Bohor, but we continue straight on the marked road in the direction of Koča na Bohorju. We continue on the macadam road, following it to the first right bend, where we leave the road and continue slightly left onto a footpath (it is possible to continue along the road, along the road we can also reach Lovski dom Bohor and the saddle between Veliki and Mali Javornik) and then follow the blazes at a few smaller junctions. Higher, we cross a cart track, then return to the macadam road. When a little further we reach the saddle between Koprivnik on the left and Veliki Javornik on the right, we arrive at a marked junction.
We continue straight in the direction of Koča na Bohorju (left Koprivnik, right Veliki Javornik) and continue along the road, which starts to descend; after a few minutes, a path leading over the summit of Koprivnik joins from the left. Here too we continue straight and along the road arrive at the next marked junction.
Here we go left in the direction of Pilštanja, Rudnica and Podsreda (straight Koča na Bohorju, right Petrova skala - both 1 to 2 minutes), where along a cart track we cross a grassy slope. After the meadow the path enters the forest and continues along a cart track, following the blazes. At a smaller saddle we reach a marked junction, where the wider path to Podsreda continues slightly right, but we continue straight on a worse path in the direction of Debeli vrh. Initially the still well-followable path soon after the junction starts to fade, along the path we notice only some quite faded blazes. We follow this path, which further resembles easier pathless terrain, to Debeli vrh, which we recognize by a metal plaque with the inscription Debeli vrh.
