Leave the A1 motorway at the exit for Šibenik and Drniš. Turn left towards Drniš through the Ploča tunnel. When we arrive in Drniš, continue straight towards Oklaj. The road climbs somewhat steeply, but when we reach the plateau, pay attention to the junction to the right towards Promina. Turn onto this road. The initially asphalt road turns into a gravel road after the village of Lišnjak. Drive along the serpentine road. The gravel road is about 5 kilometres long. Arrive at the intersection before the mountain hut, turn left and park in a suitable place in front of the hut.
Path description:
From the hut, return along the road to the last intersection, continuing left towards Čavnovka. After 5 minutes of walking, we reach the right fork. Continue straight along the road, which bends. Then the road begins to climb more steeply up the western slope of Čavnovka. After about 20 minutes of walking along the road with ever better views, another path to Čavnovka branches off to the right, and after another 10 minutes, the road from Grkinići joins from the left. The road turns to the north side, we cross the fence and soon we are at the northern summit of Čavnovka, where there are many antennas. A short descent and ascent along the path to the antenna separates us from the southern summit. From the summit there is a beautiful view in all directions.
