Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Mozirje, where at the roundabout we go in the direction of Golte and Šmihel. A little further, we come to an intersection at the inn, where we turn slightly right in the direction of Šmihel (left is the Golte cableway). We follow the road ahead to the village, where on the right side of the road we notice a church. Just a little further, we come to the intersection, where we go left in the direction of the mountain hut Mozirska koča, Golte (Here from the right joins the road from the Koroška side, by which access is possible for people from Koroška). The road then soon brings us to the next intersection, where we go left onto the lower road. The road then soon becomes macadam, and we follow it to a large parking lot before the barrier. The parking lot is on the right side of the road and is partly overgrown with grass.
Route description:
At the beginning of the parking lot, we notice signposts, which point us to the right on a footpath in the direction of the mountain hut Mozirska koča. The path, which goes immediately into the forest, ascends moderately and after a few minutes brings us to a smaller fork, where we have two options to continue. We can continue straight ahead on the steep path or right on the gentle path. Both paths join after a few minutes and higher bring us to a nice viewpoint, beside which there is a bench. There follows only a good 10 minutes of moderate ascent to the mountain hut Mozirska koča.

I was at Golte today. I would warn that the parking lot shown in the first picture is currently inaccessible due to rocks that most likely appeared due to the road renovation to Golte.

This parking lot has been closed with a fence for almost a year. The reason is: the landowner closed the parking lot that used to be...

In August I went along the path on Golte.
Well marked and nice weather made for a nice trip.
Problems are only with people. At Mozirska koča I wanted to have a snack - but no info what they have and prices, and the owner complains he's tired. So I went to the parking lot where there's a hut selling small items and drinks. There the owner was under the cherry tree drinking beer - the other umbrellas for guests were on the ground. So I have the feeling that on Golte the innkeepers care mainly for themselves.

The description of access to the starting point is outdated. The road is no longer gravel, nor is there a barrier and parking lot anymore, because the owner has apparently piled up heaps of sand along the road. This road crosses the well-marked hiking trail leading to Mozirska koča several times, so you can start hiking wherever you want. By car you can go up to the Alpine Garden, from where it's another 300 m to Mozirska koča, and another 2 km of wide gravel to Hotel Golte.
Mozirska koča pleasantly surprised me. It is very nicely arranged and the staff very friendly. Really commendable.

How is the access to the starting point? I'm reading the post from madam and I haven't noticed if the moderator corrected the text, in case the parking lot is really closed. Thanks for info.

@Pohodnica56, everything is as @madam wrote, I recommend leaving the car above or in front of the Keber farm near the quarry. Of course, the walking time changes to one hour to the hut. But this part of the path is one of the most beautiful sections on the entire path from the valley to the hut.

Thank you, thank you @otiv, I love reading you so much. You always compose something nice, photograph flowers and give me motivation in these slightly less hiking days that I will still go hiking, even much slower than last year. Thank you, thank you.
