Path description:
From the center of Poče we continue right in the direction of Labinjske lehe (left gentle and steep path to Porezen), through the village we follow the blazes. When we reach a wider cart track we ascend along it above the village, where we arrive also at a smaller hamlet, where two paths branch off to the left towards Porezen, both joining the gentle or steep path.
At the newer, at the time of the description (July 2020) still unfinished house we go slightly left onto the cart track, which transversely ascends across a panoramic hayfield. When somewhat above the nearby homestead located below the path, the path leads us into the forest and at numerous junctions we follow the blazes. Higher, where the path from Cerkno joins us, we briefly step onto the road, from it we go just a few steps further, at the junction where the path from Dolenji Novaki also joins us, left in the direction of Porezen.
After the junction we immediately leave the forest and arrive at the Labinjske lehe meadows, from where a nice view opens onto Cerkljansko, the view extending all the way to Krim, Snežnik and Trnovski gozd.
On the upper part of the meadow the path turns slightly left and transitions to the slopes named Počanska gora. Follows a gentle to moderate transverse ascent to the left, we walk on a nicely groomed path, which on the short steep section is also well protected and undemanding when dry.
After the protected section the path forks, we continue slightly right on the upper path in the direction of the winter route (slightly left the usual path). The path ahead starts steeply ascending, after 15 minutes the steepness eases and we step out of the forest onto the pleasant meadow Vrše, where we join the path from Raspet. We continue left (right Kopa and Črni vrh), where we first transversely ascend through a belt of sparse forest, then completely approach the road. We continue on the trail that continues along the road, somewhat further we leave the wider trail and continue in the direction of the winter route. A few more ascent steps follow, behind the hunting observatory the trail along the edge of the pasture disappears, we descend to the saddle Velbnik, where we join the usual path (here somewhat left of the path there is the hunting hut Na Šašu).
From the saddle Velbnik, where the forest road leading to Dom na Poreznu approaches us again considerably, we ascend through a narrow belt of forest, then at crossing the pasture fence the path forks.
We continue on the path that ascends (the left path bypasses the summit Medrce and is not marked, but is slightly shorter), along it in 10 minutes we ascend to the panoramic summit Medrce, from where a nice view opens onto Porezen.
From the summit we descend along a less visible trail that descends towards the northwest and after 5 minutes of descent brings us to a marked junction, where from the left the previously mentioned unmarked path and the steep path from Poče join us. A little further the gentle path from Poče joins us from the left, and from the right the path from Davča.
We continue in the direction of Porezen and further ascend along the increasingly panoramic southeast ridge. We then follow this path to the summit of Porezen, from which a nice view also opens onto the Julian Alps.
