Access to starting point:
From Tolmin or Nova Gorica we drive to Solkan, from where we continue driving towards Sveta Gora. In the middle of the first sharp right turn, we turn left and then we park on a parking lot near the main road.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the wide path (mule track), which gently ascends towards the northwest. After a good half an hour of walking, a spring by the path pleasantly surprises us, where we can quench our thirst. The path soon after the spring ascends a little steeper and after a few minutes of ascent brings us to the forest road, where we continue right. We follow this road to the first crossroad, where we notice signposts. We continue in the direction of Vodice, on the left road, which after a few dozen strides we leave because blazes point us to the left on a footpath which ascends along the gentle southeastern ridge of Vodice. The path, which runs through the area where battles took place during the First World War, brings us after 20 minutes of walking to the summit of Vodice.
PS: On the map Goriška 1:50.000 (Kod&Kam) the path is marked as marked, but up to the crossroad 20 minutes below the summit, this is not the case.
