Podblica - Bela peč (Podbliška gora)

Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Kranj, and then we follow the signs for Besnica (turn-off from the old road Ljubljana - Kranj is before the bridge over the river Sava, or after the bridge if we come from the direction of Kranj). Further, we drive through Spodnja and Zgornja Besnica and Njivica. A little further ahead, we arrive in Nemilje; after the mentioned settlement, the road starts to ascend more steeply. When we arrive in Podblica, we follow the main road, and when on the right we notice the recycling spot, the described path begins there. We do not park by the recycling spot, because we would block the locals' access to the waste containers. We park at an appropriate place along the road, lower or higher up.
B) From Železniki we drive to Dražgoše, and then we continue driving towards Kropa. Next follows transverse driving across the slopes of Jelovica, then we arrive at a crossroads where the road towards Kranj branches off sharply to the right (the turn-off for Kranj is only from the opposite direction). Here we continue sharply right (if the turn is too sharp, about 50 meters ahead there is an arranged turning area), and then we descend into Podblica, where still before the center of the settlement on the left we notice the recycling spot where the described path begins. We do not park by the recycling spot, because we would block the locals' access to the waste containers. We park at an appropriate place along the road, lower or higher up.
C) We drive to Kropa, and then we continue driving towards Dražgoše and Železniki. After the settlement Jamnik we leave the road towards Dražgoše and continue driving left towards Kranj. Next follows a descent to the settlement Podblica, where by the recycling spot the described path begins. We do not park by the recycling spot, because we would block the locals' access to the waste containers. We park at an appropriate place along the road, lower or higher up.

Path description:
From the junction above the recycling spot we continue right in the direction of Jamnik and Peka piškotov Metka. The path first leads along a narrower asphalt road past a few houses. At the last house we go right onto a cart track, along which we mostly ascend transversely. Higher we reach a newer house, which we bypass on the upper side, then behind the yard we continue again on the cart track, which leads us past a religious symbol. A little further we reach the main road Dražgoše - Kropa, which we only cross (left Dražgoše, right Kropa and Jamnik).
We continue on the cart track in the direction of Bela peč, which starts to ascend transversely. The cart track soon turns right; when it makes the left hairpin turn, straight ahead continues a footpath towards Bela peč. Next follows an ascent through the forest; a little higher we cross the end of the cart track that we left recently (to here also possible on the cart track). The path, marked with pale yellow signs, further becomes quite steep and ascends a fairly steep slope, so greater caution is needed in snow and wet conditions. Higher we reach the edge of Jelovica, where the path levels out and transitions from the slope to the plateau. Here the path turns left, and a little further it joins a cart track, which we also follow left. Next follows a gentle to occasionally moderate ascent along the path, which mainly runs through dense forest. A little further the forest thins out, and the path brings us to the panoramic edge of the plateau, from where a beautiful view opens towards the Kamnik Savinja Alps, part of the Karawanks, Gorenjska, and surrounding hills. At the viewpoint the path turns slightly right and ascends to the panoramic Bela peč in a few minutes, from where a view also opens to the other side.
