Access to starting point:
We leave the Ljubljana eastern bypass at the exit Lj.-Sostro/Lj.-Bizovik and head in the direction of Sostro. (We can also drive here from the center of Ljubljana along Litijska cesta). About 700 m from the bypass - at the "Y" intersection - we turn right in the direction of Podlipoglav. We follow this road for good 4 km - through the last foothills of Ljubljana, past the church of St. Lenart, through Sadinja vas and lastly to Podlipoglav. Here at the only larger intersection we do not continue left on the main road, but straight in the direction of Šentpavel/Brezje/Repče.

The starting point is only 200 m ahead from this intersection, at the end of the settlement Podlipoglav or at the turn-off of the road towards Šentpavel (some space for parking is by the turn-off or just before the bridge). To here from the bypass highway 5 km (from the center of Ljubljana good 10 km).
Path description:
A note: The path to Pugled past the guard post number 1 is mostly marked, but the key spots (e.g. beginning of the path, continuation from the saddle, beginning of the descent) are not marked! Right at the beginning of the path, until we step into the forest, the most sense of orientation is needed. If we are standing at the turn-off for Šentpavel, Pugled is directly in front of us, approximately on the east. From the turn-off, we briefly continue along the asphalt road towards Repče and Brezje. Already after good 100 m from the asphalt road a worse cart track branches off to the left, less than 50 m behind it also a macadam road. We ignore the cart track, but on the macadam road we turn left upwards. After the double bend the macadam flattens, at the end of the flat section, by the last house, we step into the forest. Only here we encounter the first marking. After a few dozen meters of walking through the forest, a directional sign and marking higher up direct us right across the stream and steeply right upwards. Further the path runs alternately steeper upwards, alternately more to the right, all the time through pine beech forest rich with blueberry bushes. Because the entire hill is crisscrossed with trails for steep cycling descents (downhill), we occasionally encounter some fast "two-wheeled animal". After 10 minutes of walking we cross a more pronounced old cart track (pyramid sign next to it is a sign for the downhill trail). When we complete the longest traverse to the right and immediately after it the steepest section of the ascent, we step onto a spacious ridge with NOB marker (guard post number 1). A couple of minutes we continue directly upwards along the ridge; when we spot a steep path to the western subpeak in front of us, we take the path to the right onto the saddle. Here is the junction of many paths (possibility of combining). From the saddle to the summit we must correctly identify two turn-offs that are not well marked. Immediately at the saddle we must not let ourselves be led by the arrow that seemingly directs us to the summit directly along the well-visible traces of breakneck downhill descents; instead we must turn around the summit pyramid almost horizontally to the right, along a very wide path (almost a cart track). After about 50 m, when we come from the distinct SW ravine, we turn left twice and steeply upwards along the ravine. In a few minutes of direct ascent we reach the summit. If we use the described path for descent, the beginning of the descent is not marked. We simply set off along the well-trodden trail along the pronounced ravine steeply downwards towards SW. A note: On the summit of Pugled there has been a flagpole since April 2019. A smaller clearing on the western edge of the summit provides a view of the Ljubljana Basin, with the Julian Alps and Šmarna gora in the background.
