Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana–Celje highway, take the Šempeter exit and continue driving towards Prebold and later Trbovlje. Then follow the serpentine road to the Podmeja pass, where we park on the parking lot near the hunting lodge.
B) From Zasavje, first drive to Trbovlje, then continue driving towards Prebold. When we arrive at the Podmeja pass, park on the parking lot near the hunting lodge.
Route description:
From the Podmeja pass, head west on a poorer macadam road towards Sveta planina. After a few dozen steps, leave the road and continue on a cart track that gently ascends through the forest. Higher up, the cart track flattens completely and from an indistinct ridge gradually passes to the shady side. Here, the marked cart track turns sharply right (poorly marked) and begins to descend more noticeably. At the end of the descent, step onto a wide cart track, along which walk a few steps to the asphalt road, which you follow to the right. Further on, with a view of Kum and ascending past a few houses, reach a marked junction, where continue in the direction "Sveta planina - pešpot (footpath)" (right Sveta planina access by car).
Further, ascend for quite some time along a gently sloping macadam road, then reach a smaller hamlet, where continue sharply right and then immediately behind the house left onto an ascending cart track. The cart track first leads across grassy meadows, higher even descends slightly for a short time, and then takes us into dense forest, where it begins to ascend more steeply. Higher, the path turns left and after a few dozen steps of further walking brings us to a sign by which stands a lonely house. Behind the house, the path widens again and past a trough with water brings us onto expansive grassy slopes north of Sveta planina. Here continue left (right Javor, straight Čemšeniška planina) and after a few steps of further walking arrive at the inn on Sveta planina. From there, walk to the nearby chapel, turn left there, and after a short ascent across the grassy slope reach the summit of Sveta planina.

Discussion about the trip Podmeja - Sveta planina (Partizanski vrh)

We went with the family to Partizanski vrh. The path was quite muddy in some parts. The path is not strenuous except in the last part when ascending to the summit. On the way back, snow surprised us!
