Access to starting point:
We can reach Podsreda from Celje via Šentjur and Kozje, from Krško or Sevnica via Brestanica and Senovo, from Brežice via Bizeljsko and Bistrica ob Sotli, and if we come from Maribor via Podčetrtek, in Prelasko we turn right towards Kozje, where we join the road from Šentjur.

The starting point of the path is the house by the road towards Kozje, which is shared by the volunteer fire brigade and the Dom krajanov. By the house there is an arranged parking lot. From the center of Podsreda, where it is also possible to park, it is a few minutes' walk away.
Path description:
From the parking lot at the starting point we go along the main road towards the south. Already after a few meters at the marked turn-off for Gradišče we turn left on a side road which would also bring us to the top somewhat circuitously. This side road immediately makes a turn to the right and starts ascending. First, we go past two yellow chapels, which are not yet part of the Way of the Cross. The Way of the Cross officially starts a few meters further with the first of 13 chapels in pink-blue color combination, marked with Roman numeral I. Here we turn left on a footpath which is formally unmarked, but has all the characteristics of a normal mountain path and requires normal hiking equipment (especially boots, optional poles). This footpath winds zig-zag on a steep slope between the 13 chapels marked with Roman numerals and ascends steadily all the time; the higher we get, the nicer views open up on Podsreda square, the castle and the valley of Bistrica north of Podsreda. When we "slalom" past all 13 chapels, we reach the chapel of St. Mohor and Fortunat, which serves as the last, i.e. 14th, station of the Way of the Cross. From here on a much gentler cart track we reach the church of Our Lady of Sorrows and through a meadow the chapel of St. Anne just below the summit.
