We leave the Styrian motorway at the Šempeter exit, then follow the signs for Polzelo. Through Polzelo we follow the main road, then at the pizzeria and inn AS Caffe we continue right onto the street Pot na Vimperk 3-16. We continue past individual houses, then the asphalt road begins to ascend more noticeably. At the farm Cizej-Sevšek we arrive at the settlement Podvin pri Polzeli, where at the intersection we go right, a little further we arrive at the parking lot where we park.
Path description:
From the parking lot we continue slightly left onto a macadam road that leads us past a cross and alongside which we notice signs for Vimperk. The road quickly enters the forest and in a few minutes of diagonal ascent brings us to a small saddle, where the "upper" path to Gora Oljko branches off to the right, while we continue along the road, which passes to the other side of the ridge. A few more minutes of ascent through the forest follow, then past the transmitter we reach the church of St. Nicholas on Vinska gora or. Vimperk.
