Pogačnikov dom na Kriških podih - Prisank / Prisojnik

Access to starting point:
We leave the Gorenjska motorway at the Hrušica exit and follow the road ahead towards Kranjska Gora. Just before the village of Dovje, a road branches off to the left from the main road, leading to Mojstrana (Vrata, Kot and Krma). We follow the road in the direction of the Vrata valley and drive to the large parking lot near Aljažev dom. From Aljažev dom we follow the signposts towards Pogačnikov dom na Kriških podih; description: Aljažev dom v Vratih - Pogačnikov dom na Kriških podih (over Sovatna).

Path description:
From Pogačnikov dom we head in the direction of Razor and Križ along the path that slightly descends and soon brings us to a junction. We continue left across the scree (right is Križ). The path descends slightly here, then a rocky jump blocks the way. We climb it with the help of fixed protections and at the top of the jump continue left across the slightly exposed rocky slab. On the other side of this slab we find ourselves on scree again. We continue towards Sedlo Planja, where the paths to Razor and Planja branch off.
We go over the saddle and head slightly right in the direction of Vršič (left Planja, far right Razor).
Along the western slope of Razor we follow the path, which steadily descends slightly. After a steeper descent and downward climbing follows a somewhat less steep descent, after which we reach a grass-covered saddle. A smaller path runs parallel to the crest of the saddle towards Škrbina. Be careful not to descend too far into the valley, as that path leads towards Vršič (“Jubilejna pot”). Our path immediately starts to ascend steeply with the aid of steel cables. After Škrbina the path becomes even more demanding. There follows a somewhat less demanding section, then it turns slightly right and brings us before the most difficult part. The path first crosses a vertical slope to the left, then ascends almost vertically towards Zadnje Okno. This is followed by a descent into the Okno, where freshly broken rocks that fell from the ceiling are visible. Even in late summer we can be surprised by snow. This is followed by an ascent on the western side, where a view opens into Krnica. Here the path turns left and then crosses exposed slopes towards the west for some time. When we reach the ridge again, the path becomes less exposed and from the left a path joins us, which branches off from the Slovenska pot and crosses the southern slopes. We cross again to the steeper northern slopes, followed by some exposed traversing, later a steep ascent, and we reach the southern slopes of the mountain again. We continue slightly right upwards and soon join the Grebenska pot and Slovenska pot on Prisank. From here only a short ascent along the southern slope to the summit follows, rewarding us with a wonderful view.
