Polhov Gradec (Božna) - Tošč (via Grmada)

Access to starting point:
From Horjul or Dobrova we drive to Polhov Gradec, then continue driving towards Črni vrh. Exactly at the place where we see the sign for the end of Polhov Gradec, we continue right in the direction of Mačkov graben and the church of St. Ursula. Just after the intersection we park at one of the parking lots by the road.

Route description:
From the starting point we continue along the asphalt road, which soon brings us to an intersection where we continue right towards Setnica (straight ahead Mačkov graben). We continue the ascent along a somewhat steeper road, which after a few minutes of walking brings us to the place where we leave it. The markings direct us slightly left onto a footpath that begins to ascend more steeply through the forest. After a few more minutes of walking we emerge from the forest and the path leads us to an open-farm.
We continue along the marked path, which leads us past houses to a poorly marked junction of cart tracks (or poorer roads).
We continue slightly right, along the cart track that begins to ascend gently and after a few steps enters the forest. Soon after entering the forest, the mountain markings for Grmada direct us left onto a footpath that begins to ascend steeply, first through the forest and then across increasingly scenic grassy slopes. Higher up the path leads us to the pre-summit of Grmada, where another path from Polhov Gradec (via Ravnek) joins from the right.
The path ahead first descends, then transitions onto an undulating ridge along which it continues with a few shorter ascents and descents. The path then leaves the ridge and turns slightly to the right, where it begins to ascend more steeply again. We follow this path, which is also joined by paths from Belica and Topol, to the scenic summit.
From Grmada we continue along the marked path towards the tourist farm Gonte and Tošč. The path immediately begins to descend steeply through the forest, and even some fixed safety features help us (easy). The path then levels out, and after a few more minutes of walking we reach the tourist farm Gonte, where a marked junction is indicated.
We continue along a gentle and wide cart track towards Tošč. The marked path leaves the cart track a little higher up and then begins to ascend more steeply. The path, which runs almost entirely through the forest, higher up leads us to the summit of Mali Tošč (902m), from which the path begins to descend towards the saddle between the two summits.
Further on, the path from Govejek joins from the right, and we continue straight along the path that ascends towards the summit of Tošč. After about 15 minutes of further walking the path brings us to a pleasant summit.
