Path description:
From the starting point, we carefully cross the quite busy road Prevalje - Mežica, and then at the intersection of two macadam roads we continue on the left one, which continues behind the church of St. John the Baptist. Behind the church, we once again continue right, and then we gently descend to the bridge over the river Meža. On the other side of the bridge we go left, then on a tree we notice a signpost, which directs us right into the forest. After a short ascent on a cart track the path forks, and we choose the slightly left path in the direction of Leše churches (right Volinjak).
We continue on a cart track which ascends transversely towards the left, and at the junctions we follow the yellow markers. Higher up the forest ends and in front of us we already notice the Leše churches, to which only a short walk separates us.
After the churches we continue right on a footpath which higher enters the forest, then after a short ascent it joins the macadam road. On the road we gently ascend and already after a few tens of meters we arrive at a marked intersection, where we continue on the slightly left road in the direction of Volinjak and the path to the mysterious world of Žal žen (right Prapar and Stovčnik). The path ahead first continues through the forest, then past a watering place and along an expansive pasture. Somewhat higher the road brings us to a smaller hamlet at the Hermanko farm, where on one of the buildings we notice the inscription Volinjak, and we continue further on the road, by which we arrive at an intersection a few minutes away, next to which there is a larger masonry chapel.
From the intersection we continue straight ahead on the road, which continues along the left side of the chapel (slightly right the road which leads towards Mežica, sharply right the footpath to Volinjak). After a few tens of steps a marked path to Mežica branches off to the right downwards, and we continue on the macadam road towards the Andrej homestead. The path ahead leads us past the Andrej homestead, then continues first along the western, then along the southern side of Andrejev vrh. Before the Najevnik homestead we reach a smaller saddle, next to which there is a chapel, and beside it we leave the macadam road and continue sharply left on the path which begins to ascend along the ridge. We follow this path all the way to the Andrejev vrh a few minutes away.
Poljana - Leše churches 45 minutes, Leše churches - Andrejev vrh 1:10.
