Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana–Jesenice highway, we take the Lesce exit, then follow the signs for Žirovnica. We continue on the old road towards Jesenice, on which we drive to Žirovnica, where we turn right, then follow the signs for Završnica and Valvasorjev dom. When the road to Valvasorjev dom turns left, we continue straight ahead and park a little further on the marked parking lot by Lake Završnica.
B) We drive to Jesenice, then continue on the old road towards Lesce. At the end of the Polje settlement, we turn left and then follow the signs for Završnica and Valvasorjev dom. When the road to Valvasorjev dom turns left, we continue straight ahead and park a little further on the marked parking lot by Lake Završnica.
Path description:
Towards the end of the parking lot, we notice an information board with a drawing of the trim trail, which it is good to look at and remember for easier orientation.
We first walk along the asphalt road, which we leave after just a few steps and continue right onto the macadam road that continues along Lake Završnica. We walk along the lake for a few minutes, then the road ends, the path enters the forest and continues along the Završnica stream. A little further ahead, the signs for the trim trail direct us left onto a path that ascends a few meters and approaches the asphalt road. We continue straight and quickly arrive at the Završnica recreational park, where we go straight past several trim trail points. At the trim trail requisites, the path turns 180 degrees, and we bypass bar Zavrh on the right side. A short descent follows, then over the bridge we cross the Završnica stream. On the other side of the bridge, we go right, where the path first leads across meadows, then through the forest. When we step out of the forest again, the path goes slightly right and continues along the lake; on the other side of the lake, we go right again and cross the lake over the dam.
After the dam, we already arrive at the parking lot where we started our tour.
